Which Modiano did you find too thin?

I Think they are Modiano Trieste? I've added pics of the cards and box. I find the cards super thin compared to other brands that I use. I seldom use the Modiano for that reason. Granted, this is the only deck that I have, so maybe other Modiano cards are thicker?

Agreed. These are super thin stock. Probably the thinnest I have except for Angel Aristo Club.

Thank you! I have a few decks of those Modiano Texas Poker and they don't feel too thin to me but I never had a scientific measure of them. Early this morning I tested deck by deck with a few others and both Platinum and Casino Modianos were thicker than almost all of the others.

I was just curious which one you had an experience with.

Maybe there's different versions of Texas Poker, Joe? My set-ups don't feel thin at all, LOL!

I'll take some photos when I get home. IIRC, these Texas Pokers are the thinnest and flexiest cards I own.

I'll try and do the same tomorrow... Again, they never struck me as thin, although I know of Dix's measurements. And that comes from someone who hates thick card decks, like FS...

I was playing around with some, not all, of my used decks today, looking and how white they were and how shiny, kinda ranking them... The modiano decks were thicker than all of them, LOL! They weren't Texas Poker though...

Just got my Faded Spade poker width 4 color FSX in. I don't know if they're in my top 5 favorite brands, but they sure make nice looking boxes, and I like the blue/gold color duo for a setup.

Even though I would have peferred bridge size, at this price, I thought it was a steal.

This will be the first time I'll test these Platinium.

They are now simple my favorite cards.

5 Month update and probably 10 setups later my new top 5:

1. Gemaco Superflex
2. Modianos (not platinum, haven't had the opportunity to use them yet but the normal ones are still very nice)
3. Broken Arrow Pro poker size (Bridge would be here but for some reason the poker size has textured backs which I enjoy much more)
4. Faded Spade WPT
5. WSOP Copags

I do have a set of Faded Spade FSX old schools coming in, they will probably slot into 4 and bump the copags out but we'll see! Has anyone had any updates or changes to their card rankings?

On the eastern side of the Pond:
Fournier (still expensive), or Piatnik (good luck finding them anywhere)
Modiano Platinum Acetate (expensive),
Dal Negro 4jumbo-index,
Modiano 4jumbo-index.
Forgot to mention that Modianos and Dal Negros are dirt-cheap in Greece, for some reason.
Copags are too flimsy and slippery for me.
Designs are simply excellent, for the other side of the Pond.

my favorite cards to use when i play with my nephews and neices are gods of mythlogy and omnia antica they always fight over who gets thor even when are in play. i love using cards like this for poker because the default face cards are so boring. We also have theme nights and holiday nights some times. we have cards that have christmas face cards, or halloween with monsters and zombies and other cool stuff. its alot of fun and to me it adds to the game as well.
