Milling one barrel in under 3 minutes. Go time.
The hard part is getting a drill press setup, once that’s dailed in it gets easier.Impressive... I'm hoping to have my own relabled paulsons in the 12 to 18 months and milling chips may have to be part of that project - you make it look very easy.
There’s a button on both the YouTube and every computer…I now hold the record for listening to a horrible music loop.
Magnate 7/8 I think. Been a long time since I bought it. It’s the same one everyone recomends.what bit are you using?

Are you milling at a very low speed or is that just how the camera is picking it up? Also, do you have a pre set depth that stops you from over milling too deep? Nicely done!
Well done!
You don‘t have issues with crumbling edges, if the original recess was not dead center?
Never had that problem,
I’ve been trying to not go as deep.

I would definitely set a stop set on the press. It’s really the only way to have uniformity across all the milled chips.whether you have a stop set on the drillpress or if you are just doing these by feel as far as depth

Also cheap “oops” insurance- lol.
What’s the bottom router method?Unfortunately this is only true if all the chips are of a uniform height, since you are going top down. This is why I prefer the bottom router method, because your drilling depth is always in relation to the surface on which the chip rests, not the chip itself. It also means a simple circle jig.
