Cash Game Typical breakdown for limit games (1 Viewer)

Don't change your whole set for stud antes. In a 2/4 chip set the bring-in could be 1 chip with a button ante of your choosing, perhaps 2 chips?

Also moving to 4/8 would basically require double the chips!!

^^^ THIS ^^^

Button ante is so much better in a home game, otherwise one would spend half the time asking each player if they ante-ed.

For Stud, as you said, 1 chip bring-in, 2 chip Sbet, 4 chip Bbet with a 2, 3 or 4 chip Button ante.

^ This. And....
Definitely try to stay with the 2 chip / 4 chip structure.

800 - 1200 workhorse chips
100 value chips

A single table 1000-pc set containing two distinct no-denom chips can cover a wide variety of limit games (including Stud) that spread different stakes for up to 9-10 players.

Expanding that 900+100 limit set to cover $1/$2 no-limit games simply means adding a few more chips to cover the needed higher-denomination chips. Play the 100 no-denom chips as $1 chips, play the 900 no-denom chips as $5 chips, and add 100 new $20 chips. Total bank for the 1100 chips used this way is $6600, or about three $200 buy-ins each for 10 players at 1/2 NLHE.

What if we wanted to introduce stud games etc... along with our $1/$2 limit game mentioned above. ... It's just tough trying to figure this set to appease all, because with one group of friends we will play the stakes I've just talked about. But another group I'll have over likes to play $1/$2 no limit, and other nights $5/$10 limit Omaha, so I'm confused on how to piece together a combination set to cover the wide variety of stakes involved with the two different groups. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
