I've owned many many mixed sets, and ended up selling all of them...save for one. It's very difficult for me to stay satisfied with a mix of chips

This set took me years to amass and assemble - needless to say it's my favorite mixed set and I am very happy with it. All chips are leaded THC

I am pretty happy with my mixed set. Yes, I only have one mixed set. I have many different fracs and $1's to pick from. It is like playing with a new set every time I pull out the chips. This is my mixed Nevada set that I am always adding on to.

There are some beautiful mixed sets on this thread. I built a mixed RHC set and I would say the hardest part was trying to be the line up creator if that makes sense. Edge spot progression and chip colours are where I struggled the most. Then there is the costly mistake of buying the wrong chips, reselling and sourcing new ones etc. Deciding whether to over label or full inlay replacement…..

In the end it was fun and I learned a lot. I just wish I used them more. Our group only has 3-4 games a year now with young kids, busy schedules etc….

I think the concept is awesome, but pulling together the right pieces can be hard.

Totally not the same… I built a custom CPC “mixed” set, but I threw some of the inlays together too quickly and was never happy with it. I tried many times to come up with replacements, but in the end, gave up and went with a new cohesive set.

The mixed sets are some of my favorites! As many have said, getting the pieces that fit can take some time. Mine tend to evolve over time TBH, and some never seem to be finished - lol.
