Looks good man! What legs did you go with and would you recommend them? I just bought everything except the legs and I’m torn on how nice I should go.

I ended up going with these on Amazon. They are definitely not top of the line but seem solid. Everything was welded together, and in the reviews I seen pictures of them attached to similar poker tables. Took maybe 5-10 minutes to install. Hardware included, included screws were perfect for 3/4 plywood.

Only negative was I had to order them twice, original order got canceled the day it was supposed to arrive which was weird. I re ordered and then ordered a different set from ace hardware(local chain). These arrived first I’ll be returning the other ones.

Just can’t warrant spending $250 for legs for such a basic table. If I build a higher end one those gorilla legs look awesome.

If you want the most rail space then build an ellipse shaped tables instead of an oval. It can get a little wide in the middle, but definitely more space per player.

I pass out rakes to players…

(Chip rakes were mentioned in another thread recently but replying here seems sensible ... )

My table is not overly big at 2100mm x 1200mm (~7' x 4') but because I have some lazy arse players who even the odd stand/stretch seems too much for them it was suggested early on that maybe a chip rake would work. I didn't really fancy that idea for a number of reasons and certainly wanted to head off someone buying one for me that was unweildy or had edges/corners that would just give me anxiety as worse-for-wear players scraped it across my Chanman cloth - so I decided to 3D print something instead.

I didn't need something that can go the length of the table, just something that can help corral the chips, so I made a semi circle with a 20cm (8") diameter, 3cm in height and 1cm thick with smooth (filleted) edges. Works a treat - better than a rake imho.

I say it works a treat but it's only been used once as we also moved to shuffling behind and it seems that got everything moving along nicely on it's own. Still it's there if we need it again.
