Anyone think there will be a lot of interest in the Tropicana Gemaco chips? I don't have a set yet of any casino level plastic chips and these are kinda grabbing my (cheap ass) interest.

How easy are these to murder and relabel? Thinking of turning the snapper into a quarter and the $500 into a $20.

I think the new secondary set and primary 1k should all be together given the labels match. Would be an inexpensive set that you could order a bunch of.
The Cadillac Club should definitely be appealing to some, though the 1's and 5's could be real worn

Lots diverse options in this sale

The assortment of chips for this sale makes it tough to decide what I want. I am only interested in a rack of primary snappers from Jumers, but I'm not sure I want to buy a thousand chips to get a rack. I'm also digging plastic lately, so those GEMACO Tropicanas interest me. I want to make a limit set with those secondary 100s and use the 500s or thousands as value chips lol.

I won a set of these from @Tommy in a recent giveaway. I think look and feel is exactly what you'd expect from a casino plastic chip, and whether or not you'll like them is obviously very subjective.

I haven't tried removing any labels (I want to keep the set as Trops), but if the ones I got are any indication of the chips as a whole, plan on either murdering them or replacing the laminate on many of these if you want them in pristine condition.

This is Tommy's picture, but I can confirm that a lot of the chips I received look like the $5, with a hole and accumulated dirt in the center of the laminate.

Also, I'm hoping this doesn't come across as ungrateful. I was thrilled to win this set, and with a little elbow grease it will be a fine addition to my collection. But I also want folks to understand what you might expect to get when buying these.

Look like cigarette burns

Look like cigarette burns
Exactly what I was thinking...but looking at the center of the $1 and just above the logo on the $25, there's small holes forming...I guess the wear starts from the center, and as the laminate starts to get thinner and open up, it collects gunk around the edges.

Thanks! I appreciate the information. I'm not overly concerned with pristine, but it would bother me if a large percentage looked like that $5.

I could switch over and get the new secondaries, but I like the spot patterns and colors better on most of the primaries, especially the $5. In your sample size, what percentage of the chips have damaged laminate? Is it doable to clean the label and replace the torn laminate? Or be much easier (for more money) to just replace the damages ones?

I did try and see if you can remove the clear laminate on the inlay. I was unable to do it with compromising the graphics. It seems to be most prevalent on the $5 chips. There are some on the $1s and $25s, but not as much. The inlays are easily removed.

Lake Elsinore Chips
$1 RHC - $.39/chip, $2 chips - $.49/chip, $2 LN round - $.99/chip, $2 Hex VGC - $1.49/chip, $4 - $3.99/chip
@TheChipRoom Quick Question: Are you releasing more quantities of these chips? The PayPal links in the original LE sale post are still live--for example, I can put a maximum of 41 LE RHC $1s in the shopping cart and still check out. Will there be more than that available at Black Friday the sale?

Good question. Can you check out LE 2s? If not, i would assume more chips are to be added. Likewise if you remember the original majestic star sales, those 36mm sets sold out, but are now available.

The LE $2 link in the original sale post will not let you check out with even one chip, and it still shows the original 69¢ pricing. Since the BF sale has the LE $2s broken into three categories with different pricing, that makes sense that the old link doesn't work (or at least doesn't let you check out).

The LE RHC $1s are same price, so for people who want more than 41 chips, I'd think Jim would keep the same link and just update the inventory/quantity in the PayPal checkout system.

With the exception of a few "loose" single denoms offered, the Majestic Star 36mm set chips look different than what was offered previously, colors and labels.

The current offered set look like the "primary" set, whereas the previously set look like the "secondary" set

I not sure is it due to the chips being dirty or just very dry. The $25 & $100 look more used than the $1 / 5 / 500 pictured together

Black Friday Sale
Friday, Nov. 25th, 2022

For those of you who have never experienced a Chip Room sale, there are a few rules. We try to do things so people can acquire a complete set at good prices. The limits are to prevent people from purchasing large quantities of single denominations that prevent others from completing their sets. You cannot use multiple purchases to hit your percentages. Any order violating the rules will be refunded, no exceptions. Percentages and maximum quantities will be lifted after the 1st hour.

At the sale start time, the links below the images will go live, after you refresh your screen. Click on the links to add items to your PayPal shopping cart. Each chip/set will be listed individually and you have to load each denomination/set and quantity into your cart before you check out. Sometimes chips can sell out very quickly, so don't delay.

It seems to me that quantities for this sale are less than other sales like HSI, but, yes, going back to those sales, it's an increase on previous sales.

Still, it's under $2 for brand new Paulsons in 2022 and these will still sell out in minutes. Can you really blame Jim??
Love what @TheChipRoom does for us. I will however, continue to pray that pre-formed sets like above:

$1 - 200x
$5 - 200x
$25 - 80x
$100 - 20x

Are posted for a single click, and posted more regularly; we're gobbling all this stuff up regardless. Or that more Golden Tickets (Maybe Silver / Bronze Tickets so people don't max 2000 count to flip) be made available, so that our chances increase. It's super difficult to be changing numbers on the fly.

I am sorry, I am not talking about what you termed "Tournament" chips. I meant the cash and loose chips. They may have come from a tourney set also, but I want to be sure. I am talking about the chips in this picture . Also 36mm right?
