Just bought some Fournier WSOP's and Modiano PA's to go alongside my Copags and awaiting some Piatniks. I like the feel of all of 'em if I'm going to be honest and I'm that much of an ignorant peasant that I can't really tell them apart in a blind test except that when riffle shuffling, the PA's have a perceptible resistance to the corners being turned up (it feels like they 'pop' up, if that makes sense).
Dealing with the copags and fourniers is a joy, not so much with the PA's - they tend to drag across the speed cloth where the others just glide, and seem much more susceptible to flipping over mid-flight.
The last game we played, we had a fair few misdeals and exposed cards and we just put it down to drink and dealing down the sides of an oval table, but practising today it became clear that the issue was with the cards - specifically the PA's. Well that's what I'm saying, anyway
The copags are the most "broken in" so I expect them to act differently, but the PA's and the Fourniers are the same age with the same useage, so maybe the PA's just need more time to settle down?
Waiting with interest to see what the Piatniks are like (Jumbo index bridge sized, as opposed to all my other cards which are poker sized). My plan is to alternate the decks every game so they all get equal usage and then see which last best/handle best, and use those as my go-to cards.
