I have to ask as I'm not great at poker but how does anyone get a Royal Flush if dude is holding 4 aces?

Yeah, it's the "2 on the board" comment that made it click lol. The stock photo of the guy holding 4 aces in his hand threw my brain out of whack and I forgot they said it was a game of Texas Holdem

No, only applies to the cash games which are raked to fund the BBJ in the first place.

And this may vary by casino, but the BBJ typically doesn't apply to Omaha, as big hands/bad beats/quads over quads, etc. are more common in Omaha with 4 or 5 cards in the starting hand. And likewise, the rake from Omaha games shouldn't be going to fund the BBJ.

Many casinos in SoCal pay BBJs for Omaha and Stud games, just different qualifying hands. Like at a couple of them here, for Omaha/Big O, the qualifying losing hand is Quad 9s or better.

I always root for these happening at low stakes games. Could you imagine going to a casino, hoping to double or triple up and then suddenly you are rewarded 65 buyins?
