Me and @JaketheGreat spent a while discussing and ranking all the big poker chips we know of and have come up with this list.
What do you guys think of the placements and how would you organize them differently?

PS: This wasn't a ranking of the single chips shown in the photos, rather a ranking of the entire sets represented by them.
Heres the link to the list if anyone wants to rank them in their own order: https://tiermaker.com/create/poker-chips-15093295

Idk that Chipotle chip is not trash to me. Any got one lol? I prefer the old Mirage chips. Bellagio should be in there. Par-a-dice chips imo.

I don't have many strong opinions on chips, but that list is just disrespectful to ABC ceramics. There are too many glaring errors I don't know where to start? Pharoahs S tier?

Lastly, I don't know about you, but I'd take a Bellagio cranberry over all of those, because one of those pays for even the highest end consumer set. ;)

Indiana Grand would be the top tier for me. The inlay is simply gorgeous.
For current Vegas chips, I'd go with GN, it has the older chip feeling, and love it.

Ha! I saw the first chip and checked out.
But this hobby probably wouldn’t work very well if we all had exactly the same tastes.

Willing to do an even swap of my Dunes China Clays for Lady Luck, fantasy, Ultimate Bet, or Vinyard Paulsons. Don't everyone PM me at once please. Serious offers only :ninja:.

Which chips one likes is of course subjective, but objectively speaking, you’re really all over the place in the op.

Poker chip tastes are subjective.

But I think for many, there are 4 broad categories and then sub-categories within.

1) compressed clay (Paulson, BCC, TRK, CPC, etc)
2) high end plastic (BJ, abiatti, matsui, etc)
3) ceramic (ABC, Sunfly, China)
4) everything else (China clay, dice, etc)

I think it's pretty indisputed around here about what is #1 for overall category. Although a ton of dispute about ranking of sub-category within (ie. BCC > CPC, etc).

Probably more discussion about what ranks as #2 and #3 in terms of preference between high end plastic vs ceramic.

Personally, I don't agree with any aspect of the OP's list. But that's fine - at least we're not competing for the same chipsets.

I just enjoy that one of my custom BCCs was used as an image! Certainly did not expect that when opening this thread.

I will give you props for the Stardust set! That one I could agree with.

OP and @JaketheGreat are entitled to their opinion.

But their opinion is wrong.

I wouldn't pick a single chip out of the S tier to even be on the B tier....

It's too subjective to ever make a list that has any merit.

What are the 90s fantasy Paulson leaded sets? Someone should do a tier of that only.

CDI
VLV
Etc…
