Well, in August I ran WAY above expectation (my biggest loss was around $400 on a session, other than that I killed it). All my draws came in, or all my made hands dodged my opponents draws, etc.
I then went on a brutal 2.5 month downswing where I ran way below expectation. Had a decent December but got hit with Covid so was out for the last 2 weeks of the month. Not sure if that saved me money or not lol.
My return right before the end of the year saw me have a nice start (almost 1K on my first session back) and then right back into the grinder watching people play bad and get there on me time and time again.
Tonight alone I've watched three clowns chasing just simple gutshot straight draws and all three of them hit. Fortunately only one of them was against me, but yeah, that was no fun, since I made the 2nd nuts on the river and couldn't put him on the gutshot draw that he hit.
Tonight no bueno, gave back $500.

Avoiding the distractions of my phone and constant updating and just focusing on the game and my opponents. Fortunately it's paying dividends, +$1,434 tonight!
Here's some hands that stuck out:
We are in MP and have
There's a couple maniacs at the table sitting fairly close to each other, sometimes one will juicer raise, everyone calls and then the other guy pops it after (they didn't look Cuban though) but in this hand I'm facing a raise and reraise preflop so this hand just isn't strong enough facing the possibility of another raise if I cold-call, so I dump it.
They go four ways to a flop of...........
and one of the maniacs is able to take it down on the flop, whomp whomp
We are in the SB with
and see a relatively wettish flop of 
We opt to check and see what develops, there's a pot-sized bet, a caller and then a tighter player on a shorter stack repots. While thoughts that these players could conceivably be blocking each other on various straight and flush draws, I don't really want to play for stacks against three opponents with middle set and no blockers or redraws, so I dump it.
The shorter stack has
and the BB who bet the flop has 
, so all three sets were flopped. We would've made some money back on the side pot, but not enough to cover the loss to the all-in player who won.
We are on the button with
and again facing a raise and reraise decide not to tangle with this hand, since aside from the nfd it's not very good. Flop comes 
and the BB is willing to stack off with 
and UTG+1 comes along with 
The turn brings the 
and we could've won a nice pot
We limp in MP with
then call a raise by the button who's been active, and see a flop multiway of 
. Our two opponents are shorter stacked and we get it in against the HJ who has 
and the button who has 
. Button only goes once and it comes but nobody has the flush and our top two pair hold up somehow.

Of course there's a raise and we reluctantly call. Not a big fan of this hand without suits, but given the nutjobs in the lineup I'll try to flop big and catch one speeding. Flop comes 
We check and the BB who raised pre shoves all-in for about $60 more (less than a PSB). I tell myself if everyone else folds I'm snap calling here, they do and I do, only to see the bad news, he has 
because of course he's got a fucking duece, why wouldn't he? I'd rather see him show me AAxx here in some demented way. But regardless we agree to go twice and he holds the first board, but I find the miracle 
on the 2nd board to chop it up.
Back at it tomorrow!

Actually, it should happen once every 18,140 times. However, that assumes I did the math right, which I most assuredly did not. I like the mental exercise though.

If I did it right Excel can barely handle it. I believe the probability to flop exactly 3 aces given that you are holding 4 cards is 1/48! × 1/47! × 1/46! = not very often (about 5.66e-179). I can't even translate that number.....but it is a lot of zeros after the decimal point! In fact you may not ever see it happen again.
