Good morning fellow chippers.

I have a complete relable project in the works and I'd like to share with you guys to gather some opinions.

I've aquired these 3 racks of silver sevens from @casinochipper22 a few months ago and finally decided to build a set around them.

Since my homegame plays exclusively microstakes, I'm going for a 25c/25c breakdown.

I was thinking
100x 25ct
300x $1
140x $5
60x $20/25

In my experience, the toughest part of any THC set are the $5s. They are in high demand and are hard to get in decent condition. And when I say hard, I mean friggin expensive.

So I figured I'd think outside the box and go for another base color than red or yellow to make this set in todays crazy prices somewhat affordable.

Introducing my $5 - the Sams Town $1

I think those work really well in terms of edgespot progression and color scheme.
I've just aquired those from @Pinkdan and @Thomacetti already offered to mill them to make my passion project come to life.

Next up:
The $20/25
I'm not 100% on this one, but I think these could work well:

At the moment, I'm in negotiations to trade for three barrels of these.

Gonna try them out when I've got all chips in hand, but for now I'm gonna consider the $20/25 problem solved.

All that is left is to decide what to get as a frac.
I do have 99 of these lying around (one of them broke due to poor packaging by the eBay seller) so I could go with these, but I'm still looking around if I could source a nice chip with a simple edgespot that could work nicely with the set.

I mocked them up in CPC to give you an impression of them together in the set. - yeah, I know, the retro red isn't really representative of the actual paulson color on the sam's town.

TLDR;
If someone has a suggestion for the frac, I'm all ears.

*I just guess the colours im sure you can tweak it more to suit the actual colours

Love the lineup, the Silver Sevens are lovely! Don't have much to add from a chip perspective.

I'm about to finalise my relabel 25p/25p set though, took me ages to decide on the breakdown, mostly because of the quarters. I went for the below in the end...

I'm sure 100 is enough really, but I wanted a barrel per player, the bank is more than enough, even for 25p/50p too.

Any preview of the labels yet?

Foxwoods 2s (tan) would look great, but I believe that option would be expensive

Impossible to find I imagine, you'd be shunned if you murdered them as well, but I reckon they'd work well...thanks for letting me focus on your relabel journey instead of mine for a while. I needed a break!

I've owned two racks of them and they truly are awesome chips as they are. I wouldn't like to murder those though. ;)
They also have a slightly oversized inlay which makes consistent relabling more difficult.

You've had a busy first year here! I thought I was bad! :ROFLMAO: as soon as our first kid came along, it was made clear to me where my focus should be...I still spent an hour oiling chips last night after she went to bed though :ninja:

Yeah, after I realized you could just relable and create Paulson breakdowns that fit your needs, I never looked back.

These will start their journey to Germany next week! This will allow me to finish some other projects and get the silver sevens relable off the ground.

The set is coming along nicely and I've made a decision for the final lineup:

I'm still looking for the charcoals and the cincy snappers.

Wanted ad: cincy snappers
Wanted ad: THC charcoals

As far as breakdown goes: at the moment I'm leaning towards a very German microstakes set:
100x 10ct - charcoals
300x 50ct silver sevens
120x €2 sam's towns
60x €10 sterling casino lines
20x €50 Jack cincy
Giving me a bank of €2000 which should easily cover my usual uncapped 10ct/10ct game.

I felt like €20 will be more suitable here as 50 will be 500bb or 250bb in 10/10c 10/20c game, It best to keep the biggest denomination capped at 100xbb

You will still have $1400 which is still 140 buyin for 10/10c game 70 buyin for 10/20c game and 28 buyin for 50c/50c game just about enough for 6 handed game

Interesting point. Never thought of the denoms in terms of big blinds / buyins.
That being said, I was trying to avoid a double from one denom to the other... Something to think about.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention. :)

Well that was quick.
After deciding to go with a rack of charcoals as the lowest fracs and a barrel of cincy snappers as the top value chip it took only 2 wanted ads and 6 hours until I had both locked up and paid for.

Big thank you to @FestiveKnight for the charcoals and @chrismurda for the snappers!

Whoever said the community is getting more toxic by the day is clearly wrong.
I'm still amazed by the willingness to help a fellow chipper out and overall the people here on this site.

Thanks guys and I'll keep your all posted with some murder showcase as soon as I get the ball rolling...

Only 380 chips to go... ;)

Time for an update.

I received the sterling cruise lines and jack cincy chips and one of them fits perfectly into the set.

I love the jack cincy snapper in combination with everything else, but the sterling cruise lines (while a a great chip) feels too dark and serious for such a fun and bright set.

These are fantastic chips and stack like bricks, but I think my search for the denom between the sams town and the cincy snapper is not over yet.

So I asked my confidante @ImCrossland for advice and he came up with the ESPT 25:

These would be a perfect fit in terms of edgespotprogression and they feel as bright and vibrant as the rest of the higher denoms.

So if I can swing it, I'd love to get 60-80 of these for my set. Any help is appreciated and here's the wanted thread you can refer your friends with loads of boat chips to:
https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/espt-25-1-4-barrels.82705/

I'll keep you guys posted if happen to track some down.

PCA $25 Secondary fitted quite well in the line up as well with great colour mixture with the rest of denim; there are also edge progression

Just giving another suggestion for consideration

I appreciate the recommendation! You're right, the colors and edgespots fit really well.
The problem is, it's going to be a complete relable set with custom lables and I don't wanna overlable or even murder leaded THC, especially not shaped inlays.
But I'm open to different ideas since those boat chips are freaking expensive and appearantly not easily available.

I agree with this analysis 100%.

Good luck on your search!

I did quietly think this when you were putting the set together originally, so very glad to see you looking at other options.

I love the colour and brightness, that works great with your other chips. But, for me, that edge spot pattern is way too similar to the Snappers. Though I don't have any good suggestions for you, sorry :x
