There is no reference to “dibs” in the PCF T&Cs. Dibs is some idea that a few users here have, that they’re entitled to buy chips if they call first. Simply put, that’s a myth. Honoring dibs is a courtesy of the seller, but no sellers are obliged to do that.

The feedback system is in place to report deals gone right, or wrong, possibly involving actual loss of money, chips, bad shipping practices, lost time, etc - stuff involving actual deals that took place.

If you start leaving negative feedback because you perceive someone broke your personal “dibs rule”, which is not a PCF rule at all, that means it’s ok to leave negative feedback for just about anything.

See a comment in your sale thread you don’t like? Leave the guy a negative feedback. That will go downhill pretty fast eh?

I think this one is a lot closer than most people want to admit. It certainly feels like a dibs complaint, which I’d agree is not appropriate feedback fodder. But this guy did actually say “if I split, he gets the purples,” then went ahead and sold the purples to somebody else. He broke his word, and that is worth discussing. Whether negative feedback is the right place for that discussion - I don’t know.

Agree here.

Not speaking for @Thomacetti but I don't think this is about whether or not dibs was honored - it's about the seller specifically stating that if split he'd commit to selling to a particular person, then he reneged/broke his word, whatever. That, to me, is worthy of some type of non-positive feedback so that others are aware for future transactions.

As always, it comes down to whether or not two members are willing to talk things out like adults and come to an amicable conclusion. It's possible a genuine apology could have salvaged things but I'm not going to make any assumptions. All I say is once things go nuclear, there's rarely any way to go back. At least we got a rant and our weekly drama thread all in one place.

Precisely.

The only thing that one has here when selling chips is their word. While it's certainly true that one can do what they want with their chips and sell to who they want and when, it looks bad on OP that he promised the chips to Thomas if they were split and then turned around and sold to someone else.

While not against the rules or TOS here per se, it's definitely in bad faith and violates the unwritten code here about being only as good as your word. Thomas didn't have to publicly out OP and instead opted to leave a negative feedback. The feedback system is in place, IMO, for this exact reason. While a sale did not take place, it's there to warn others about potential issues in dealing with someone.

OP, I'd try to work things out like this privately first. I have no dog in this race, but your reaction and public lashing out is making you look really immature at best. Good day and good luck.

I agree. Not nice, but it happens. Imho, the feedback system should be about member to member chip sales, not about (broken) promises that didn’t involve the transfer of any chips or money.

Feedback should be for if I stole from someone, or sold them a bad product.

I’d rather sell to someone else. You don’t like it, I understand. But I was a reliable deliverer of my sales.
