I can't tell exactly what happened.
If angry man actually agreed to sell those chips to Thomacetti, then a negative review is completely appropriate. I think it's safe to say that most of us here value a person's word above just about everything else.
But if this was merely a "dibs if split" situation, then I'm really not sure. (But I'm biased because I have irrational reactions to "dibs if split.")

From what I can gather, angry man did say that Thomacetti had dibs on the $500s and then someone came along and offered angry man more money for them. I'd be pissed if I were Thomacetti too, but on the other hand, I think I'd be more pissed at whomever came along and sniped my deal.
I'm just glad I got the plaques before the unpleasantness.

He said I got first chance if the set would not sell as a whole.
Seller wanted to wait to see if he could sell a bigger batch before splitting all chips....I was fine with that.
After a week he sold only the chips I was after above his asking price....
So I said...fine, and called him out on it...then he posted this thread

Wait. OP promised chips to @Thomacetti if a split occurred?
EDIT: Didn't mean to imply that @Thomacetti was sus. He posted the thread showing he was promised the chips. Sounds like OP did the right thing and is sending the chips to @Thomacetti, so nothing to see here...
