Okay, how horrible would these actually turn out and does anyone have a pdf of the Isle of Capri, KC inlay that I could use to attach on to these? Tried to get it as similar to the real thing as possible using CPS design tool.

Any thoughts on this would be apprecaited.

The $5 kills the original lineup, replace it with something better and we might be talking. Also IOC are probably gonna be about the same price as CPC lol
Got me thinking...get rid of original $5 make the snapper the $5 chip and the blue make it .50c chip then the set can be used in .50/1 games and any bigger games $1/$3, $2/$2 PLO $2/$5 holdem...

The CPC feel of their chips is such a turnoff to me I can’t take it
I’ll murder and label RH&C first

That blue snapper is tilting AF. I like the rest of the lineup though....very tropical.

EDIT: assuming the $5's and the $500's would never be on the table together....unless the $500 is oversized?

In my business, the saying goes, “Good, Fast, Cheap … you can only pick two.”

It seems you’ve been at this for less than a minute and have posted about 300 wanted ads in that time, so I’m assuming Fast is a requirement. That rules out CPC, and leaves you with either Good or Cheap as your final option.

In addition, Wanted ads are extremely inefficient. Even if you’re prepared to throw down the big bucks, you still have to realize that PCF community is small & most IOC owners aren’t lurking each day scrolling the Wanted ads hoping to unload the very set they worked hard to acquire … in other words, it might take more than a week (or even a month) for the right seller to even see it, regardless of your offer … and even then, money may not be their motivation for selling. Or just start adding commas to your offer prices and I promise you’ll find what you want.

I just joined in January and am closing in on 10,000 chips, most of which are completed or nearly completed sets … so I know the feeling of wanting it all right now. I’ll likely be posting my first wanted ad this week — but only because I’m legitimately stuck on a few spots — up until now I’ve just scanned For Sale ads, had great conversations with other chippers, and helped out those I could (I even offered to help you close one of your Wanted ads at below anyone’s cost, so I must say I’m currently a bit wary to even open your daily Wanted posts). Beyond that, I trust the “chips will fall where they will”. It’s worked out well, so far. For me, at least.

Just a different perspective. Good luck on your hunt but don’t forget the hunt is part, if not all, of the fun.

I know everyone will not agree with me, but here are my thoughts:
- All chips in BULK regardless of what they are are really only worth about $1 ea give or take a little. That doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't be bought and sold for more, it just means that the actual value is not much more than that and in most cases if there is a massive amount available the value will be considerably less than $1.
Evidence/Rational:
1) There is an unlimited supply of Paulson RHC & THC $1's in lots of different varieties and colors that are available for anyone that wants to go get them from any one of the hundreds of card rooms and casinos that have them available for $1 ea. To my way of thinking this will peg the value of most chips (in BULK) to around $1 or so or less and that is not likely to change anytime in the near future. I don't see 1/2nl going away anytime soon or Craps going away anytime soon etc.
2) Just look at the TCR sales right now or any time in the past when there are a lot of any particular chip available. Right now there are 10's of thousands of chips available in White, Red and Green all available for < $1 ea and there is hardly anyone buying them.

Back to my thoughts....
Why in the world are you or anyone else trying to buy chips for $10/chip when nice chips are available for < $1/chip? Just buy something that you like the base colors and edge spots and then murder them and make them look like what ever you want them to look like. If you really have a hard on for the IOC inlay, then murder away and put on IOC inlay on them and call it a day. If you can come up with something better or something that actually means something to you personally, then murder away and put that in there and call it a day.

You sure abut that?

I'm deleting most of my non-productive thoughts and leaving you with this:
CPCs will take a long time to produce - lots of months. For somebody who seems to be short on patience, that may not be ideal. And it's likely that if you stay in this hobby for as long as it takes for CPC to crank out your IOC knockoffs, you'll have found plenty for chips that you want more than the IOCs.

Getting some much deserved constructive criticism on this thread. Appreciate the honesty coming from those who’ve been in my position before.

Will make an effort to turn it down a notch and be less persistent (at least publicly) of this effort.

Thanks, everybody.

Haha you’re a funny guy.... we steam inside and get obsessive about whatever it is we want but holding it in and not showing it “publicly” is the only way people don’t know we are psycho hahaha ;-)

Would consensus be that I’m better off offering to purchase and entire set at once or accruing other trade pieces/paying for individual racks from multiple individuals?

You can certainly do it either way and be successful, but it is easier to not get distracted if you go for the whole set at once.
