My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (6 Viewers)

I watched the video, and I don't quite get all the hate. The guy said that bluffing on certain turns was an option to consider, and that folding like Andrew did was perfectly acceptable as well. Specifically he said if the turn comes 4 or 5 and the BB checks, so he's just describing an option in a highly specific situation. Not like he's saying to always do it.

Because in response to my comment about bluffing at low limit PLO his coach responds with statements that contradict

He's talking about being aggressive, playing tight, having a range advantage and printing money

The problem is that if Andrew is playing tight, a 932 rainbow flop with a wheel card turn doesn't give him a range advantage at all, it should favor his opponents

You don't want to be bluffing the calling stations, that's poker 101. He even calls the opponents "sticky" , those aren't the guys you bluff

His coach is advocating fancy play syndrome at low-stakes PLO.

Sure, it may work some of the time, but I don't think overall it's a +EV move at those stakes, and will likely cost you more money in the long run than it makes

Also, I don't think his coaches advice was all bad, he did have solid input. Just that bluffing recommendation really stuck out to me as not ideal given my experiences

Another factor to consider is that his student is a PLO novice. He needs to learn to walk before he can run.

Teach him the fundamentals and tight play first, before you expand into bluffing spots

At Luckys/TGT waiting for the mix 1/3 nl he / 1/2/5 PLO to start

No action players at hard rock on fri afternoons and not ready to start playing super late night so will see how this goes

Already see a super action guy, Asian named Bong that is crazy LAG

Also saw this on the way in

Nothing of note in the two PLO rounds. In the hold em round I call a $15 raise from the SB multi-way (5 players) and bet $50 on the flop

Two callers including the initial raiser. I shove the turn, they both call and we're ahead, until a King hits the river

Back on PLO

MP straddled to 10, BB has restraddled to 20

MP calls, HJ calls, we pot to $105 with a total stack of $124 remaining, so $19 behind (only $15 of it plays) from the CO holding

:qd::qs::js::6d:

This is a hand ideally we want to get headsup with dead money out there

Unfortunately the button, who seems decent, cold-calls, the BB folds, Crazy Bong in MP shoves and HJ folds (Bong only runs one-time)

We get outflopped but have outs, unfortunately they don't materialize, stuck $400

Aaannnddd..., stuck $600

LAG raises pre to 25, two callers, I repot to $150 with $50 behind from the SB with

:as::qh::js::3d:

Raiser and Bong call

Flop :ks::ts::2s:

BINGO BANGO BONGO VINCE!

I put my last 50 in, they both call. Bong starts saying "pair the board dealer"

Turn :6c:

River :kc:

And of course Bong has KTxx lol

Just got unstuck. In for $600 and call a preflop raise with :ah::ks::7s::4h:, the whole table comes along

Flop :7c::4d::2h:

I pot for $175, two callers. Turn :8s:

I only have $55 left and stick it in, they both call

River :jh:

They both check, I'm already all-in. I flip it and I'm good lol

Manage to turn what was shaping up to be a -$600 session into a +$238 one

Game was def better than the hard rock on fridays, at least 3-4 spewing fish seated the whole time.

Ran bad early despite being a favorite multiple times, but had a nice end of session rally to book the win

This is the 2nd 2/2 PLO table that was recently called. Lineup pretty bad, not much action

Limped :ks::kd::5d::2d: after the rock, few limpers, guy on rock makes it 30

I call, MP calls, LP soves for 90, rock repots, I fold, MP calls off

Board runs out :qs::qd::9d::5s::3h:

Rock flips over :ad::ah::8s::4c:

Good laydown us

Changing it up a bit, one limper on button after the rock which is the CO, then all folds to me in MP I raise to $30 with

:js::td::9s::6d:

Only the limper calls

Flop :5h::7d::8d:

BINGO BANGO BONGO VINCE!

I check, because this flop looks terrible for my raising range and my opponent knows me

He fires $50, I checkraise to $200 and he rips it in

I agree to go twice and he turns over Q552 for bottom set and a better flush draw than me. He promptly drills the house on the first board, but we hold on the 2nd board to chop
