Anthony Martino
Royal Flush
I watched the video, and I don't quite get all the hate. The guy said that bluffing on certain turns was an option to consider, and that folding like Andrew did was perfectly acceptable as well. Specifically he said if the turn comes 4 or 5 and the BB checks, so he's just describing an option in a highly specific situation. Not like he's saying to always do it.
Because in response to my comment about bluffing at low limit PLO his coach responds with statements that contradict
He's talking about being aggressive, playing tight, having a range advantage and printing money
The problem is that if Andrew is playing tight, a 932 rainbow flop with a wheel card turn doesn't give him a range advantage at all, it should favor his opponents
You don't want to be bluffing the calling stations, that's poker 101. He even calls the opponents "sticky" , those aren't the guys you bluff
His coach is advocating fancy play syndrome at low-stakes PLO.
Sure, it may work some of the time, but I don't think overall it's a +EV move at those stakes, and will likely cost you more money in the long run than it makes
