My Journey As A Professional Poker Player (26 Viewers)

I think this was the version of the Basic Set that came before the one I had (red cover - 1980). But that's definitely the version of Keep on the Borderlands I had.
That Basic Set was my introduction too. I've still got it (what's left of it) including the green dice.

2/5/10 PLO running, playing before the tourney

Guy tried bluffing river for $325 after checking last to act on a 2 flush flop, betting turn and then bombing flush river

Picked him off with turned straight. What's funny is I have such a nitty image a 3rd guy in the hand folded the King high flush face up after I called, lol

Up $580 from PLO so freerolling the $200 tourney

Lol, raise button with Q9 hearts, both blinds call. Flop A54 all hearts

SB calls my c bet, turn A

We both check.

River A. We both check

He has A3 offsuit lol

Maybe it would have been even funnier in this case then. No penalty, but have to show down that you checked back quads.

Old lady raises in EP to 1200. Three of us call including me in the SB with KQ off

Flop Q52 and check-call her 2k bet, BB also calls

Turn pairs the 2, we check to her, she fires 6k, I let it go

Meanwhile, getting a contact high, some jackass was smoking that skunk weed on break

Of course you run bad... Ceramics made to look like Bud Jones, but with unaligned edges - who can focus!?! :nailbite:
Oh it's worse than that. They are old, colors are super muted, and pre covid at least they were dirty and sticky. Telling apart the 100 and 500 is a bit of an issue, even in good light.
