Is there a post I should read about the details? Not sure who's organizing or what the deadlines are. I've seen some great use of these chips. Is there a guideline on designing customs, like size, format, color limitations?

There is no public Gb#2 scheduled. No one has stepped up. I recommend people group up into splinter groups of ~10 people to take advantage of the volume discount. That’s what I am doing (group is full).

Im a free agent if anyone were to draft me into their splinter group...
This is just a discussion / interest thread. Nothing has been officially organized yet. Sean has stated that he will have NO involvement in this until GB #1 is nearing conclusion, if at all. So unless someone else steps up, it's going to be a several months or more. We have also discussed doing regional orders with different people taking charge of collecting orders and receiving and distributing chips once they arrive from China. Lot's of details yet to resolve.

I’m not in a rush, am waiting for the ACFs from GB1 to be produced, and, most critically, I firmly believe that Saint @SeanGecko will rise up to lead GB2 once the dust clears, he bathes in Capri, and the garlands of victory from GB1 lose their bloom. Then Caesar will feel once more the call to glory.

I got the 43 mm color sample set and I am truly impressed with these chips.
my tournament set will be 43mm if possible.
leaning towards non textured but can remember why texture was better atm. I’ll look back and read up on that.

I had a Bosco sample of Cards mold and no mold. No mold had spinners. How are spinners in the Cards Mold?

Cards mold seem super grippy to me. The textured 43mm seem to be grippy as well. Not so much for the smooth 43. I haven't played a game with either, but haven't noticed any so far.

I'm interested in the 43mm no mold. How bad were the spinners? thx was it smooth or textured (actually does it matter in terms of spinners?)

There are certainly spinners in this manufacturer's card mold. Sun-Fly also offers a card mold, which these are not.
This manufacturer, however, is offering these at 24 cents USD per chip at volume, so the spinners are expected and accepted. It's a value price for a value chip, and everything that comes along with it. Do they stack like bricks? Nope. Are they spinner free? Nope. Are they a great value for a fully custom chip for a crazy deal? YUP.
If you're worried about too many spinners, order an extra 20% and find and ditch the spinners. For the price you either shouldn't worry about spinners too much (there honestly aren't many per barrel), or you should worry about it and pay for enough extras to swap out.
I ordered enough for a 3-4 table tournament, which I may never host!
So what's the process to go through them and identify spinners? I've never owned a large set before where this was an issue. My PGI 8V cash set stacks like bricks. Is it patently obvious? Is every chip either a spinner or not, or are there degrees? I'd like go through all of mine, pull out any marginal ones and put them in the "last chips to use when I have a big tournament" set.

When they're brand new, the card mold chips practically have no spinners and do stack like bricks. It's not until after some use, from my experience, that they eventually become a bit slippery and have spinners. BUT the card-mold's slippery-ness/spinners are no where near as bad as the Bosco regular no-mold chips or dice chips. The former was terrible; it was a struggle trying to keep those chips together after every shuffle.I ordered enough for a 3-4 table tournament, which I may never host!
If you use the card-mold chips, they won't truly spin unless you try doing so on purpose. The do become slick over time but nothing unbearable. They still stack well and flat, especially in stacks of 20, don't explode when you take them out if a rack or case, and pretty darn durable when fallen multiple times on a hard ceramic or cement floor.
Yes, I am also guessing March is about when you may have the stomach for another lift.

I am going 43mm for my next set(s) and figured “what the hell, Let’s get crazy” and asked about larger sizes for upper denoms. The 43-55mm sizes below are all available in textured surface.

I could maybe see some special 100k “plaques” in 50-55mm instead of spending $5 each to order square plaques from a vendor.

Per Tina Cards mold will be going up .03 cents next year.
As a percent of the original cost, that’s a pretty substantial hike
