I haven't been around as long as most, and I don't have the insane collections that others do. But I'm quite happy with what I've put together and want to share them.
The only thing I'd have done different with collecting my set would have been to swap the 5 out for the orange and blue 5, but that would have basically kicked off a change for the fracs and possibly the ones as well, so just a massive impact, no longer cali colors, and I have full samples of the entire Emerald Bay set and I was doing a lot of mixing and matching to figure out what I wanted and I think I prefer the orange frac and the yellow/purple 5 over what I'd have had to do to be happy with the rest of the sets.I was part of the design team with @Perthmike and @liftapint It was an absolute blast. Those colors!! WOW....I loved everything about these chips except their slipperiness. The feel and sound are so unique. The sharp edges, mmmmmmmmmmmm

The slipperyness doesn't bother me, maybe I'm strange. Maybe I don't play with them and eat buttered popcorn at the same time.
Hoping one day there is another Matsui group buy. These are, I believe, my favorite actual group buy chips.
I went ceramics, Jacks, NAGB, and then leaded Paulsons. You are due for leaded Paulsons. So I've gone:
Crappy Ceramics
Nice Ceramics
Nice Plastics
Custom Milled Solids
Custom Ceramics
and after last night... NAGB chips...
So in the progression of chips addicts what is supposed to be next?

It's 100% on my list I'm just high risk and have some very high risk family members so I'm overly paranoid.I am pretty sure a casino used Paulson RHC set... convenient that there happens to be a black Friday sale coming up with some beautiful IOC chips!
Awesome collection so far Dave, seems like you definitely have the chippin bug!! Hope you make it out to @Seeking Alpha Social Club for a game sometime when things clear up a bit!!
Maryland Chipper Ben
Lol, what about the lead poisoning?!?I went ceramics, Jacks, NAGB, and then leaded Paulsons. You are due for leaded Paulsons.
I think I'll get there eventually, but I haven't found a mold I'm in love with yet and some of the gaps in colors they can deliver give me pause.CPC customs should be on your progression somewhere.
Not gonna lie, I've thought about picking up a TRK sample set to see what the fuss is all about and I have specifically avoided them like the plague because I don't want to go down that path.TRKs next?!
There are plenty of TRK sets in our local area, also plenty of CPC sets, @krafticus owns the Speak EC series on the CSQ mold... very very nice! But that game is between the beltways... maybe a hike for you but still very recommended. It's 100% on my list I'm just high risk and have some very high risk family members so I'm overly paranoid.

I'm actually doing my card mold GB set as a dry run for a future CPC set. So I think eventually I'll get there, but I want to be a lot more experienced before I'm at the helm of exactly what a chip should look like. There are things I'd do differently on the GB chips and even the custom relabels I have now. So the outlay for CPC really gives me pause. Pushing out a large chunk on a NAGB set is safer to me because I know I could turn them around for about what I paid for them. That same amount on a CPC set I see as being $0 if I want to move on to something else, so I better be damn sure. There are plenty of TRK sets in our local area, also plenty of CPC sets, @krafticus owns the Speak EC series on the CSQ mold... very very nice! I own the Silver Tounged Devils on the scrown mold and @detroitdad Burbon basements on the B mold. Both really nice sets. I personally think the CSQ is the best... especially after breaking them in!
As far as colors... have you seen the Pillage and Plunder chips?

Other than a nice bright yellow (which you hear all the time) what more could you want? This is perfection and I don't even have all the chips in the line up!!
Unfortunately even touching leaded TRKs you may be ruined for life... it happened to me! I don't have any top end TRKs, and mine are far from minty (the $1s and $5s anyways). But I absolutely love them!!

When covid is over and you are interested in a game, let's us know and what kind of chips you would like to shuffle or hell even put in play that evening! Always happy to help!

I think there are many steps before even trying TRKs, I know some are not fans butt man... the first time I shuffled a barrel of Pick Hobson’s I knew exactly what the Hype was all about!! But then I know a large group that want nothing to do with them... again what makes this place awesome is we can truly all love different chips!
One of the things I'm super ready to experience is everyone else's take on chipping. I overlap with some folks, AS HS for example a lot of people seem to love, and I definitely diverge from a lot as well, AS Cash has very little appeal to me and is beloved by others. I love the Emerald Bay set, some folks can't stand the texture.I think there are many steps before even trying TRKs, I know some are not fans butt man... the first time I shuffled a barrel of Pick Hobson’s I knew exactly what the Hype was all about!! Pillage and Plunder $8 and $100 are great. Really like the T25, T100, and the T500. But seriously, the $1000 chip is maybe the nicest chip I've ever seen. There are plenty of TRK sets in our local area, also plenty of CPC sets, @krafticus owns the Speak EC series on the CSQ mold... very very nice! ** I apologize again for another Ben book but you asked!! @detroitdad you know this story brother... you don't have to read it, if you do... don't yell at me!! Did you put these together? Group project?
What a great story. Thank you for sharing that.** I apologize again for another Ben book but you asked!! @detroitdad you know this story brother... you don't have to read it, if you do... don't yell at me!! Lol
I feel bad for not naming their creator and owner, my awesome buddy @Ronoh . I had absolutely nothing to do with Pillage n Plunder. I just whole heartedly believe they are the greatest customs ever made!
Everyone has their opinion on this subject but I am obsessed with Pirates, my jaw dropped to the floor the very first time I ever saw the set. The color combinations, the time spent on every single chip in this line up... btw they all have names (the individual chips) I will tag you in the original thread so you can check them out!
My favorite CPC mold, white and black opposite inlays. Fink just totally made the perfect chip set!!
I reached out a few times just crossing my fingers that I could get a single chip for a card capper. Fink was taking a break and dealing with life at the time...
@detroitdad and @Lil Tuna worked together to send me an anonymous Hundo... literally cried the day it came in... almost dropped it shaking so much! Brie hugged me and said are you ok?? I said this is a F**king Pillage + Plunder chip... I'm nobody, I don't deserve to own this... tearing up thinking about that day!
(With a promise made that we Will play in Detroit some day!!)
I had it as a capper and promised to always have it on the table when I play!!
Fast forward, Fink logs back on and reads my messages, again they get my address and this showed up in my mail box.

With this note that I will always have, and plan to professionally have framed with my samples!

As you can see I got 2 $1,000s so I added my hundo to the sample set and now carry a 1k chip...
I couldn't agree more... The Green Flash was nailed from The Pirates of the Caribbean... red sky at night sailors delight! Chip color matching and aligned with the inlay... try to beat that chip... it's not possible!!
My sample is not complete, but I have most of the beauties!!
So we were helping our buddy @toynoob host a meet up in Ohio in October, basically we bring the chips and help him host... when we were all discussing which chips to take... again my buddy Fink being the coolest guy ever heard about this game. He had sent the set to @inca911 for his meet up as a guest set and he couldn't attend... they worked together and sent 2 packages to lend us the entire line up in playable quantities!!

Brie was so excited and knew this was happening!! I open the box from Forrest saying what the hell is he sending me, why is Brie so damn excited??
Again I bust out crying asking why are these chips in our house... shaking and trembaling....
She said Fink herd about the game and knew you love for his chips and wanted to offer them as a guest set... can you even imagine sending $5,000 plus in chips to someone you have never met in person???
Fink knew they would be perfectly safe!! Even bought them their own case!! Lol

I could talk about how amazing these chips are every single day!!
Saddly soon they will be off to their home, but if you ever hear of a game and these are in play... cancel your wedding and Go play these chips!! Lol
I feel like this has been the peak of my chipping career! I don't think I will ever place a set higher in my rankings, I love lots of chips obviously, I love rare TRKs... I have had the opportunity to play several amazing TRK sets... I would pick these every single time!!
Pillage and Plunders biggest fan!! Ben
Oh....that's an easy 3 letter answer.So I've gone:

you don't have to read it,
Finks awesomeness is worth every second of my time brother... ok maybe I could have saved @JustDave some time... but I enjoy sharing! LolDon't worry. I won't. Its about 21, 453 words too long![]()
I'll be honest, it never really dawned on me that you could align an inlay like that so no matter the source or the wall of text, I appreciate knowing what they look like and the story behind them.Finks awesomeness is worth every second of my time brother... ok maybe I could have saved @JustDave some time... but I enjoy sharing! Lol
Response probably should have been... sorry I should have mentioned these are Finks amazing customs and no I don't own them!! Lmao sorry guys
