I read that as of 10/29/14 Paulson is no longer making home chips. Get them before the stock dries up!

Buy out the competition, then kill off the market. Makes no sense....

Sad day for chip enthusiasts. :(

I wish I had extra $$$ to buy a set of Worlds. Hopefully they made enough to last until tax time.

Apache Josh told me pretty much the same thing Tuesday last week after I'd ordered some more Paulson racks. He said he'd been informed through his distributor that Paulson will no longer be selling to the home market. Yay GPI! Not.

Just sad. I worry that CPC will end up going belly up someday and there will be no high end options left.

This, exactly.

I really don't get their strategy in doing this. They can't be losing money making home chips, as they're made in such large numbers.

Not to mention that they could easily charge twice the amount (or more) for semi-custom home chips, given the cost of the only other clay alternative. They have an entire array of spot choices/colors that will NEVER be used for casino chips.

Save up and order your dream CPC set as soon as you can.

I just thought about the potential impact that this will have on Apache. That is another relevant bummer in this whole situation.

We should riot in the streets and get on the news! We'll overturn poker tables and rip up plastic decks of cards and burn dice chips. The Reverend Blurple Chicken can lead us!

Sad day indeed. I can't figure out why they did that.... only hope that CPC stays safe for the moment.

I want to burn dice chips, please.....

Eww, so much nasty toxic fumes. Lets just use them as landfill.

But seriously, wouldn't this exit of GPI open an opportunity for someone to make an entrance into the high end poker chip market? How big of an operation is CPC, I'm wondering?

Nope. Equipment expenditures are huge, not to mention ya gotta know what you are doing. Chip-making isn't really common knowledge, or something you can research and cook up in your kitchen or garage. Combination science and art. And very few artists around....

People can bitch about the mold but i'm happy I've bought a NPS touney set (500 & 16+9 plaques) a few years ago.

J5 artwork & colors/spots are awsome...

The NPS is definitely one of the best chip lines that was done for consumers. Also the "Paulson Chips" mold has grown on me over the years. That's a beautiful set you've got there.
