What’s you’re golf handicap? (1 Viewer)

Did I see a 7 wood in there? Curious as to why that instead of a hybrid or two? I know its all personal preference. I don't even carry a 5 wood anymore, straight from 3 wood to a 3 hybrid. I put in a 4th wedge instead, now I have 60, 56, 52 and 48 degree wedges. I really just use the 60 for almost everything around the green.

Yeah, I hit it for the first time in about 2 years and promptly topped it and lost a ball. I need to find me something for my 200-220 yard shots.

I had the round of my life a couple weeks ago. 3 birdies and holed out my 2nd on the hardest hole from 150 for eagle! Came to the 17th tee even par - at this point my best ever 18 holes was +12. So obviously I made a double followed by a quad to close the round. Golf is cruel hahaha! Still my best ever round by 6 strokes, but man, should have been so much better!

Any of you all in the Florida area? I’m booking a TPC Sawgrass stay and play for a couple of friends and I. Any other nice courses in that area?

If I’m playing bogey golf, it’s a good day. I haven’t been out forever. I miss playing so bad.

My handicap?????? Trees

I was taking off on Mondays and working Saturdays because Mondays they had $1 HO's and free carts on Mondays...Fun till they shut the golf course down since they weren't making enough money on the HO's

Frizbee golf isnt as stressful nor as expensive as regular golf...

Fun game...true dat...

I don't golf enough to establish a handicap. Last time I played I shot a 102 with 4 pars...I’d like to play more but fairly busy with kid’s activities.

If anyone gambles on the course or wants an app to track rounds, check out my friend’s app he just released called Gimmies. I‘m not familiar with all the games but it tracks all that and calculates payments for you.

You’d think that being Scottish and living in a country where there’s more golf courses than people I’d be good... but nope

On saying that I’ve been putting lockdown to good use and gone from 20.5 to 16.4

Won a competition yesterday with 39 stableford points in what can on be described as typical Scottish summer conditions... in other words I had my waterproofs on but it was too windy for an umbrella  :ROFLMAO:

Does that mean if you shoot over 110, you essentially don’t qualify for a handicap?
It used to be a maximum of 28 for men and 36 for women. It recently changed to a maximum of 54 for both (ie 3 shots per hole).
Over here (under R&A rules) you submit 3 cards and then your average score is used to calculate your handicap. I’d imagine that USGA rules are similar.
There’s a new world handicap system coming into play that effectively replaces the R&A and USGA systems. Think it was meant to be this year but don’t know if it happened because of Covid19 etc.

I'm currently a 13.8 and in full regression mode. Was an 11.5 a month ago. Broke 80 the first time of my life last September. Broke it twice more this year...but alas those are no longer in the last 20 rounds so regression. Covid working from home has been the best thing for my game. Currently have 70+ rounds this year and figure I can get 15-20 more before the temperature gives out.

My index is an 8. I love golf and poker. With all the golfers here I am surprised there haven no golf/poker meet ups. Or maybe there have been and I just have not been here long enough.

If we ever do a PNW meetup, I for one will insist on some golf!
