Time to limit the bumps for classified wanted ads? (2 Viewers)

New here but I see the OP's intent. I don't think it bothers too many ppl here since that's how deals get done. I do enjoy seeing the daily bumps and I have to assume the daily bumps translates to no nibbles on what is being advertised.

Require an offer price in the want ad.
Just like The “for sales”, no fishing around.
Might get more of them completed.

I’ve got a lot of the wanted stuff, I just don’t want to go through the effort of communicating, then get a low ball offer, then after 17 pms you come to a reasonable price and then they want to negotiate The $5 shipping.

That is true. I often wonder why people never seem to understand there is something amiss after 5 weeks and no offers
hint: maybe nobody is interested......

What member is leading in that category ?

I'm not clicking on any more of your threads AND blocking you ! But some how I will still find my way to your next thread and be sure to complain about your complaining :watching:

I hope we can all admit this thread has at least provided some nice entertainment and for that, I thank you @upNdown

I love this.
I find my wanted ads work best when I post the prices. As of today all my wanted ads will be all be listed with the prices I'm willing to pay. I also agree too much penny pinching over chips/shipping just wastes time and energy. IMO It’s ok to negotiate and lowball but The wanted section is
Not the place. “I’m Looking to buy this super cheap please help” lol

Tangent here, but I never lowball. I offer what I think an item is worth. That's probably perceived as a lowball offer, often. But I'm not looking for a steal or even a deal - just a fair price. And you know, I own chips that are worth more to me than their fair price, so I totally see both sides of that issue. But yeah, cut the crap with negotiating shipping!

 (below not directed at you)

Attempts to curtail buy/sell activities and especially the incessant pricing police (aka people shaming) only create the opposite effect. Deals begin to get done only behind the scene among a select group pf people, which creates less offer of chips, thus, increasing prices even more.

A good example of that is the PCA fracs WTB ad. I can guarantee you there were a few people who wanted to sell their racks but were afraid of the pricing police and being called whatever. The result, prices skyrocketed.

It is all very, very simple and it boggles my mind people to this day cannot understand simple economics. Not that different than in the real world I guess.
How do I join the pricing police and how can I use this new role to piss off people..... I'm intrigued...

Ya some things people consider lowball I think is too much. Boat chips and BTP come to mind. $8? I’d maybe pay $4. Probably not. Same with horse gardenia. Id pay MAYBE $2.50. Is that a lowball? IMO seeing vivas sell for any less then $3 is also CRAZY to me. To each his own. I drink patron and I’m willing to pay more for it. I wouldn’t drink Jose Cuervo If it was free.
