I wanted to share the sad story of my WTHC set.
I started my journey maybe 25 years ago, much more interested in poker chips than in playing poker. I quickly fell in love with the WTHC design. After getting many samples, I made the plunge and purchased a 300-chip set with a variety of denoms, which I thought would be useful later (Spoiler: no). It was very expensive for me at the time — $1.15 per chip!

Little did I know how far this set was from being playable (nobody to blame but my inexperience and lack of research).
So, here is the situation I got myself into: a mint-condition WTHC 300-chip set that can't be played. (Not planning to sell it — it's too pretty...) I even tried playing with it once — it's not workable, as expected. When I understood the mistake and thought about expanding the set, it was too late, of course.
Posting my images here for your enjoyment, sadness, and mercy...
For those interested with helping a fellow WTHC collector - I posted a wanted ad to try to expand the set — reply there if you have any and are interested in selling.
