I know it's a buyers market but the wanted ad bumps are getting suffocating.
Just my 2 cents

Edit - did I mean sellers market?
More coffee needed

It is daily.

Also you’re not wrong.

I don’t check auctions at all anymore. Since they got split out it’s like they don’t exist.
I observed that too.

It's probably better for my wallet, though honestly, I almost never won any auctions. I'm not that guy that HAS to have the item in question no matter the cost.

Another needless effort to add more micromanagement & control how people buy and sell here. Just ignore them if you're not interested.

Just my 2 cents :)
I get that “just my 2 cents” seems a little passive aggressive or whatever. I added it as an attempt to convey that I’m not really demanding change, just complaining.

Disagree. I’m, personally, completely unbothered by people bumping their ads and I find it strange that anyone could find it suffocating.

I read the title more as “nobody is selling what I want right now, and I don’t have anything for the wanted ads people either, so I’m irritated”.
I get there myself.

There are a lot more wanted ads recently for sure (I know I’m bumping one as well). There are also a constant flow of new members looking to score some chips so I guess it’s only natural. But perhaps 1 bump/day is excessive I don’t know

So we could cut down on these by limiting the number of new members each week or something? Crazy idea but it is 2020

I just realized I also haven’t checked auctions at all recently. Personally, I kind of just preferred having everything in the classified section and being able to filter accordingly if needed.

The wanted/trade threads do not personally bother me, but limiting members to one trade/wanted thread at a time could be a potential solution if less clutter options are genuinely being explored. That, or people could just sell/trade me the chips I want  :whistling:. I prefer the latter...

There should be a 5 post limit, per person, per day. Across all subforums. Period. No one is THAT interesting.

Need more? That that [mess] to private messages.

Are you serious?

So less threads in which people are actually buying and selling chips to create more room for whinnying/bitching threads?

I am not advocating for it at all; just voicing a potential fix if that is something mods want to explore. I am not trying to cripple my own hunt for desired chips, and like I said, wanted/trade threads do not bother me at all.

..... I think only vendors should be able to sell....

Bwahahahaha! The day is mine!
Sell me something!
Let’s start with those THC purple inlaid 8V quarters - I forget their name - I’d like 100 of those please.

 (below not directed at you)

Attempts to curtail buy/sell activities and especially the incessant pricing police (aka people shaming) only create the opposite effect. Deals begin to get done only behind the scene among a select group pf people, which creates less offer of chips, thus, increasing prices even more.

A good example of that is the PCA fracs WTB ad. I can guarantee you there were a few people who wanted to sell their racks but were afraid of the pricing police and being called whatever. The result, prices skyrocketed.

It is all very, very simple and it boggles my mind people to this day cannot understand simple economics. Not that different than in the real world I guess.
