Custom Cloth Feedback (12 Viewers)

Tomorrow or Tuesday if you are in town works for me. I can pick up the chips, you can get the color wheel.

red line vs green line: obv answer is obv, two tables (with matching red and green seating chips)

I sent the color wheel last week so you should get it any day now

It might be my phone but the red looks it is clashing with the green. Also I am colour blind so that could be it as well.

I like facing the ends, but perhaps slightly more centered? That's a lot of empty space in the middle.

Ok I am thinking that I am getting closer to a decision. (heard that before?)

I was working on this to see what design I would come up with and then asked for help with a logo from a great asset to our community. I want to let everyone know what a great person @p5woody is. Just when I thought I knew were I was headed with the design he sent me over a few other mockups and I fell in love with each one. Man he is awesome. I thought I would share the latest mock ups and I may start a poll once I see what input the following 5 designs bring.

Those are sweet designs. Kinda like the 1st and or 4th design. More so on the 4th.

Ok I cannot stop. Two more!!!

Note. Do not pay attention too much to the colors since they will print differently from what it shows on your screen

bottom one here but put a fountain on both sides of "Las Vegas"

OR use the Tropicana from #4 in post #38 and invert it so it is facing outside and put fountains on each end of that (I may like this best)

I did put fountains on both sides but it was too much so I cut it back to one fountain
In the 1st photo I like 5 > 4 > 1 > 2 > 3
I like number 4 best though the very last one in your can't stop post also is calling my name.
Me to!
Thanks for the input. I think even @p5woody liked my last design although he gets all of the credit since it was his ideas that lead me to the near finished product!

These latest designs rock! I like #4 the best followed by the very last design posted #7?

Ok so many of you know I have a thing for old Vegas Casinos. I wanted to do a custom felt and started with a Tropicana felt. I worked on it for quite some time and once when I thought I had a finished product something else came in to mind. I started working on the design well over a week ago and then had to quit since I was on the road all last week. Well today I was able to get some quiet time and stared working on the custom cloth design again. I took the Las Vegas sign and changed up the wording a bit.

After several different designs and a bit of feedback from @p5woody, here is what I came up with. Your critique is welcome.

I'm not a big fan of this latest version. It doesn't have very good flow compared to previous versions IMHO.

Thank you for the feedback. How would you change it to make it flow better? Open to any suggestions either here or by PM.

I really liked your Tropicana felt. This version doesn't do so much for me. It looks more like a commercial from the visitor's center than a homage to vintage Vegas.

I would abandon the entire center piece art and go back to just logos from the five casinos in your set.

I like the first one from post #40. Sometimes a simple design is the most elegant.

All of you may talk me back in to the Trop cloth but I keep looking at adding some of the other casinos.

To me the logos in the racetrack look out of place, just floating there. I would put some sort of border around them to make them more official, or even move them into the middle. Perhaps even very close to the betting line or within the betting line. I recently made a felt for someone with a double betting line with text in the middle.

I like the direction of the smaller logos in the betting line. Leave the middle, beyond the line empty? Design? Man I wish I had more free time to do more. I really want to do a cloth but I am so anal about things that it usually takes me a while to pull the trigger.

I have an idea in my head I will try and describe it as best I can;

What if you make place the logos next to each other on a diagonal angle and tile them. Make them all the same color and make that colour a contrasting colour to the felt colour. Use this image above as a racetrack similar to what was done on the Chateau de Noix table

Edit: I actually think doing a non contrasting color like green felt / dark green logos would be better.

Post #38, option #5. Print it...then send it to me. :)

Beautiful stuff!

agree with Tchan here, the floating casino logos outside the betting line is not the best look. Tchans idea of embedding them within a border around the betting line is cool.

just looks cleaner IMO

Not sure if it would look to busy but what about doing the fountains in a pattern like the suit cloth? I know @p5woody did his smoking birds like that, you could do it without the grid lines and just have the two fountains bottoms facing each other to make the diamond pattern.

Edit: or even doing it as a fifth design on the suited cloth.
