A local sushi etc. restaurant offers a Japanese red ale called Echigo. (Very nice indeed. It's not our all-time favorite, Hop Head Red, but it's likely that nothing else will ever be that good...)

The Limfjords Porter is one of my favorites. A true Danish classic with strong notes of black liquorice. Its name implies it’s a porter but it is actually a stout. Sometimes I think of this one as a Guinness on steroids. I could chug this anytime. I love it.

We were on a cruise from Boston to Quebec City a few weeks ago and one of the stops was in Portland.

I've been enjoying this off and on over the last couple of months. Bought mostly for the name and label because I tend to do an awful lot of yelling at clouds. I got it for this specific trip to work as can be seen in the photo, it's been raining off and on for a couple days now and we've been trapped inside a cloud that whole time. A good, easy drinking hazy IPA.

[While I could have posted this in the "view outside my window" thread, it makes more sense in the context of this thread. One can barely make out the road in the lower left corner through the fog!]
