Update: deer34 very kindly and generously offered another 1000 chips extra!! The plan now is to split the 1500 chips between 3 users.

Update2: Turns our raffles are not allowed, so we fallback to first come first served. Sorry for the mishap.

Update 3: @Darson offered to pay shipping costs. Fantastic community!
---

I have 500 chips that I got from pokerchiplounge thinking they are original Chipco, but they aren’t. Not very happy with how they feel, and wouldn’t feel right to sell them so I decided to give them away to someone looking for their first poker chip set(you just have to pay shipping cost).

They are mint and never put into play.

The breakdown is:

White Chips 100
Red Chips 150
Green Chips 150
Charcoal 100
Cinnamon 50
Pink 50

That's very generous! How can they not be chipcos when they mention they name all over the site?

“The Chipco Classics was the most recognizable Chipco chip design, and now we have the distribution rights for this design. Clean and elegant, it is a casino favorite and has become iconic over the years! This Chipco Classic Ceramic Poker Chip weighs 10 grams and has its design printed directly to the ceramic, preventing peeling and fading.

Custom made and printed on demand, the chip cannot be returned once purchased.”

And further down in the QA:
====
Q: Are these authentic/original Chipco chips, or redesigned and manufactured by a third party?

A: Hello,

Chipco went out of business a few years ago so there are no longer Chipco classics made by Chipco around (except for those who purchased them before they ceased operations).

The artwork rights and chip formulation were purchased during the Chipco bankruptcy sale, so the Chipco Classics you see here are the same exact artwork but freshly printed on an order by order basis in our facility.

I agree, they shouldn’t be calling them Chipco, but what can you do...

The splash picture looks like actual chipcos (as far as the white ring in the design.) The individual close-ups do not.

Very generous!

The Chipco classics I have seen have the $ sign on them. These don't.

How do they compare to your "Secret Menu" chips? They should be identical if they're Chipco.

I have a sample set. They don't remind me of dice chips at all. They're like my other ceramics, except much smoother, almost as smooth as Nile Clubs. They sound identical to the secret menu chips but my hearing is shot in the low frequencies.

I am far from someone looking for their first set. LOL   But I helped my friend's nephew with some advice on getting their game started. They are young kids and starting their first neighborhood game. They bought the Monte Carlos CC which he claims "are the top of the line poker chips on Ebay." They are not PCFers and not even chip collectors yet but maybe a seed for a future chipper. If no other PCF member needs these as their first set, I would like to give this set to these kids.

I'd like to get in on this, depending on the definition of "first set" - I have no ceramic or inlaid clay sets, all I have is an ancient PGI solid set I labeled myself (with the wrong size labels) and a really badly done Spirit/Showdown mixed set (thickness issues abound with this; the only saving grace is the 4 barrels of Showdowns have Gear labels). This would be the first set I'd see as being worthy of being used on my Twitch Plays Blackjack streams. I'd gladly give you an on-stream shoutout :)

That is extra generous.

My only set is Monte Carlo poker room chips... I am looking at getting in to some better quality chips...

I'd like to join the raffle
Thanks.

Well hell let's make it 1500 chips I can help donate an extra 1000 Chip's so if Stafil don't mind we can just add mine too

Not at all! Quite the opposite, thanks for your kind offer! We can split it to more than 1 persons then? Up to you.

I think raffles where you sell tickets are banned. Don’t sell tickets, just deal some cards to pick a winner!

It has been done before many time and is actually quite a lot of fun- especially if you stretch it out! That’s why I’m here - to see the cards dealt!

This is the reply I got from Tommy;

Hi,

Yeah, unfortunately raffles of any kind are not permitted.

Being new here I don’t want to rock the boat, so let’s stick with the first come first served for this.

I love your idea about the cards however so I promise to come back soon with a new giveaway item with the cards method!
