What are these? The guy said the grey ones are "Soprano" chips which are rare and discontinued. Any info welcome and appreciated.

Thanks,
Jody

"Rare" may be a stretch, but I do believe the Sopranos are decent plastics. The nickels just look like Super Diamonds with a sticker.

I wondered if they were Super Diamonds but didnt see any injection pips. Guy says they are 10 grams each. Hes got 750 of the browns and 600 of the grey Sopranos and says they weigh about 35 pounds. The math seems to check out. Wants 190 Canadian shipped for the lot. I don't need them but if the price was right I would grab them and put them up here for people.

Sometimes the Super Diamond injection pip is on the side of the chip. There have been very many manufacturers of these. I would doubt they weigh much more than 8g.

There is a type of Super Diamond which are better than most of the rest. I'm pretty sure they were made more than 30 years ago. They have their injection pip either on the side or in some of the diamonds themselves. The inner and outer ring on the face are of equal thickness (and generally thin). The chips weigh about 9g each. I like to refer to them as Superior Diamonds.

So are they worth what he's asking? And is there any demand for them from PCF'ers?

I got some Super Diamonds with the table I just bought. They're obviously not the "Superior Diamonds" as @allforcharity calls them, because these are terrible.

However, my local casino has some hot stamped plastic diamonds for tournaments. They're actually pretty decent, much less slick and a softer feel.
