Wynn had like a celebrity tournament or something. They were also in a movie I think.

I'm also curious in where these chips came from. Definitely seen them many times before and never really questioned it.

I'm not an expert or a veteran chipper by any means, but my understanding was that Nevada gaming law required any discarded casino chips to be destroyed instead of sold...wouldn't that include celebrity tournament use?

They were ordered by the Wynn Casino for a celebrity charity casino night event in NYC umpteen years ago. You can find out more about it by searching the forums. Lots of celebrities played with the chips though (Beyonce, Trump, and many others).

The chips were also later used inside the Wynn Casino Las Vegas for the filming of 'The House' with Will Ferrell which came out in 2017.
