WTHC / THC (1 Viewer)

WTHC is a fantasy set(certain patterns, inlays) paulson made , with the suits mold (design the clay has molded into).
THC is a mold that a variety of casinos have used for their own personal designs.
example;
THC is the two circles, with the hat and cane within the circles (mold)

WTHC is short for World Top Hat and Cane which is how that particular home fantasy chip set was marketed when sold to the public. As pointed out above, it uses the suits mold as opposed to the THC, RHC, IHC or other mold. The suits mold was also used to produce other chips, such as the Avalon Club and Private Card Room chips, and was not exclusive to WTHC sets. Link below discusses and has examples of the many different molds used to make chips by various manufacturers.

I have sometimes referred to these as What The Hell? Chips, mainly in reaction to the prices they have been offered for (especially on eBay).
but then again.. we've seen mcdonalds nuggets sell for thousands of dollars so there's that audience :).

Welcome to the forum. I wish I would have bought this set when it was still available to the masses. These use to sell for $1.10 per chip.
