I'm gauging interest in a 30 person WSOP Circuit league that would run every four or five weeks consecutively on Poker Stars.

Each league would pay one $1675 WSOP Circuit Main Event seat after conclusion of each league.

Second place would pay for two numbered ring events at $365 each.

Third palce would pay for one $365 numbered ring event.

Basicly 1st place $1800 cash, 2nd $800 cash and 3rd $400 cash.

The winnings DO NOT have to be used for poker, its your money so buy poker chips if you chose to.

The reason for the league is to use the winnings to play in a WSOPC Event and bring a ring or two home to PCF. Oh the braging rights.....

I understand people CAN afford to take $365 to play in a ring event but it would be fun to just play poker and have a chance to play for the WSOPC Main Event in a city close to your home.

My thoughts are $100 per league member x 30 people to get prize pool to $3000.

Play on a week night Monday-Thursday around 8-9pm EDT

Points would be simple but up for discussion. My thoughts 30 points for first and 1 point for 30th place. Maybe bonus points.

Throw out maybe one low score.

Payments through payPal before the start of the league but I would prefer some one more up in the ranks hold and pay out the money. Someone more involved in PCF then i am.

Blue screen had a WSOP league that awarded seats to only Vegas and it was fun. This league will be more flexible and you can play close to your home, or just blow the money.

Some WSOPC Main Events are paying out more then $300,000 and thats no chump change.

Chicago has paid that out the last few years and thats coming up in October so lets get the details ironed out and play some poker.

I can post a link of the new WSOPC season soon. I think there is 24 stops this year. Thats about 240 ring events!

Opinions welcome.

The fish are not jumping in the boat on this huh:(

I understand most can afford a $365 buyin but i was hoping there would be more people like me wanting to play a weekly game
With a chance to win the $1675 ME seat.

I for one would take the $1675 and play 4 different $365 events(y)

Thoughts welcome

Thanks
Matt

Interesting.
I dont know how you're gonna find 30 people though. There are pokerstars tournaments almost every night and we rarely get more than 10 players.

Although we would probably have a good chance at finding 18 people to throw in $100 each on a winner take all lotto style raffle. I've given up trying to figure out how we don't have a regular online tournament with a nice turnout being that we're a poker chip forum.

And if the above raffle happens count me in :D

Im guilty of that myself. I just got the codes from tommy last night.
I plan on playing with you all sooner then later.

Id be down for that too but was trying to get the league together to spread out the poker and get more bang for your buck.

I play in two weekly wsop satellites on PS. The tourney originated in the blue wall, and results are still updated there. Each league has ~40 runners. Chris Moneymaker played in one the previous year. Normally top 4 or 5 players earn cash to play in a $1000 wsop event. Stipulation is if player cashed in wsop, winnings are split with the group.

Communication is excellent and run extremely well.

Two reasons I don't play online. 1. I just don't care for online poker. 2. 10 pm e.s.t is to late to start. 9 would be the latest I would play on a consistent basis

Ive played in that and Brian does a great job.
Only problem I have with that is you have to comment to playing in vegas.
Just wanted something a little more relaxed and less rules on what you do with the winnings.

I totally agree. This is something id like to do live but with my sister in law falling on troubled times and she now lives where we would play poker.
Anyone need lazy slob? No charge.

Totally understandable. I'm good with that commitment, as it's a goal of mine anyway. If timing works out, count me in.
