WSOP Chip Usage History - 2007 Rio Primary Paulson set
This Paulson set was introduced in 2007 to partially replace the Bud Jones chips primarily used at the WSOP between 2005 - 2006. They have been used in conjunction with the Paulson secondary set since 2007 but are the primary chips used in large field and NLHE events including the Main Event. New chips have been introduced to the set since 2008 for a...

I broke my guide, I broke my guide more, I nuked my guide, Tommy had to partially fix my guide, I fully fixed my guide, I am working on improving my guide.

Apologies if you stumbled upon the mess tonight and the semi-mess it will be all weekend.

Update:

The guide has been updated to include all Rio era Paulson chips including the secondaries.
Chips have been sectioned out by core sets.
A new section has been created called 'Special High Denomination Chips' to represent some of the chips that don't really fall into the primary/secondary classification. This is something I have wanted to do for awhile as I have never been super happy with how I was classifying some of the high denoms like the Mexican Rose or Black 500Ks.

Future State:

The timeline currently only addresses the originally listed primary chips and will need to be updated.
Looking for more/better pictures to improve the guide.
Hoping to add quick links ability for sections with admin help (because I don't want to rebreak my guides).
Turning the Bud Jones guides into a single resource as well.
Turning the Binions guide into a resource.

Feedback:

Any mistakes you see, point them out or PM me. It's a lot of information, I am bound to miss a few things.
I am openly accepting any and all feedback for improving the guide.

Update:

Primary chip pictures have been updated and standardized thanks to @sleepypiggly and their amazing photography skills.
Secondary chips have been added to the timeline.

Update:

Secondary and High Denom images have all been refreshed thanks to the amazing photos by @Tonysquander.

Of the available chips, we would only need Paulson color comparison chip pictures of the 2007 Secondary T5 and T25 and the 2018 Secondary T25K.

Color Updates:
T25K Quarter Pies edgespot updated to Colon Orange (What a terrible color name).
T500K Mexican Rose edgespots updated to Canary Yellow and Petunia.
T250K High Denom chip updated from Lavender to Lilac and edgespot updated to Sherbet orange.

I will get you pics of the T5. Have a replacement on the way as we speak. My original had cracks and is being replaced. Sadly, I do not have a T25.

Small Update.

Canary Yellow 100K edgespots have been changed from Radiant Red and Indian Blue to Royal Red and Charcoal.

Thanks to @Tham6165 for catching that it was probably Charcoal so I found the Chip and Token entry and confirmed the colors.

Long overdue update.

Added the 5K RFID chip.
Update some chips with estimated totals of chips made when available.

See this post for more info on totals:

Thanks to @Tham6165, we have found the elusive 5K RFID chips. While watching PokerGo coverage of older events, they discovered they were actually used in one tournament, the COVID year 2020 Main Event Heads Up matchup. I mistakenly identified them as the normal 5K chips until now.

I am looking for any better pictures of these that anyone can come up with.
