Not Mine Rio WSOP 1M 8v (2 Viewers)

For me (and I think many with me) the 1M and 5M are the most iconic poker chips of current generation.

When I use them as cappers during big tourneys, almost every dealer spots them and same for players.
Same with my AFC plaque (because most US players don’t know plaques).

Funny fact, each of the 5M represents $1.666.667 in buy-in money (167 players)

I’m still looking for a red 500K to complete my set of 3…hit me up if you have one for sale.

I think it’s the 500K!

Makes me think there’s still some of these Rios available somewhere (outside of the stash sold off early this year).

Interesting things of note for the RIO years:

500 of the Black 500Ks were made in a 2015 order.

500 of the Metallic Silver 1Ms were made in 2018.

400 of the Canary Yellow 50MM were made in 2016.

300 of the Blurple 50MM were made in 2019.

In 2018 1,000 of the Forest Green, Hawaii Flower, and Red 50MM chips were made. 500 of the Canary Yellow 50MM chips were made. Even more interesting is they list 500 of a Blaze Orange chip in the same set. Did they make the 5Ks and never use them because they weren't needed at the final table?

Also RFID is not mentioned on these chips

500 each of these three chips were made. The Purple in 2015, the Grey and Gold in 2019.

500 of the Ocean Blue 500Ks were made in 2017 and 500 of the Mustards were made in 2018.

Other notes:

67K of the 2012 Secondaries were re-ordered in 2018.
The WSOP was ordering 6-10K $500 Buy-In chips per year.

A mysterious "Mint 5,000,000" chip was approved and supposed to be made in 2020 but was canceled due to COVID. I'm guessing it was intended to be a continuation of the Black 500K and Metallic Silver 1M special high denom set.

Thanks for doing the legwork! Any idea on the 8V red 500k 50mm?

This probably belongs on one of your WSOP resource pages

Made but never used... meaning it still exists somewhere, waiting to be listed on eBay?

This really leads to the question of where are these chips and why weren't they with the others? I have way more questions than answers on this one.

They were listed on the Nevada chip and token report but I probably didn't contextualize it until today.

I wasn't expecting to find a mystery WSOP RIO chip today.

Some Nevada construction worker is playing 5D chess - plotting how best to get us PCF idiots to fund his retirement.
Three words, if you're reading here, sir: Mail Showcase thread.

Can you put this data by chance in the WSOP resource threads!? Love knowing the counts @Zmasterben and @Cord
