For me (and I think many with me) the 1M and 5M are the most iconic poker chips of current generation.
When I use them as cappers during big tourneys, almost every dealer spots them and same for players.
Same with my AFC plaque (because most US players don’t know plaques).
Funny fact, each of the 5M represents $1.666.667 in buy-in money (167 players)
I’m still looking for a red 500K to complete my set of 3…hit me up if you have one for sale.

Well, the good thing is, at those prices, I certainly don’t feel bad about giving up on trying to complete a third barrel of the 1m chips.
Joined eBay may of 2025 (during the initial hoard release) and his other items for sale are trash

Someone just shared this on pokerchipper.com and it gives a glimpse into how many Rio 50mm chips were made.
For example I think it was 300 of the T5M.

If this is real, the WSOP bought 1,148,500 total chips for the Paris/Bally's WSOPs on an initial order.

Interesting things of note for the RIO years:
500 of the Black 500Ks were made in a 2015 order.
500 of the Metallic Silver 1Ms were made in 2018.
400 of the Canary Yellow 50MM were made in 2016.
300 of the Blurple 50MM were made in 2019.
In 2018 1,000 of the Forest Green, Hawaii Flower, and Red 50MM chips were made. 500 of the Canary Yellow 50MM chips were made. Even more interesting is they list 500 of a Blaze Orange chip in the same set. Did they make the 5Ks and never use them because they weren't needed at the final table?
Also RFID is not mentioned on these chips

67K of the 2012 Secondaries were re-ordered in 2018.

A mysterious "Mint 5,000,000" chip was approved and supposed to be made in 2020 but was canceled due to COVID. I'm guessing it was intended to be a continuation of the Black 500K and Metallic Silver 1M special high denom set.

Thanks for doing the legwork! Any idea on the 8V red 500k 50mm?
That’s a good guess, a 5k RFID never used.

It would have been 2010 so before the reports but educated guess is probably 500.
Duh. Well this resource must be available prior years. I’ll ask him on chipper.

This really leads to the question of where are these chips and why weren't they with the others? I have way more questions than answers on this one.
They were listed on the Nevada chip and token report but I probably didn't contextualize it until today.
