Do you think this breakdown would cover a 10 person max cash game that could range form .25/.25 - 1/2

120 - .25
300 - $1
280 - $5
80 - $20
20 - $100

Yes. 1/2 depending on how it plays could get a little thin, but this is almost my exact preferred setup (since learning here) and it’s served me very well.

My set up

100 - 25¢
150 - $1
200 - $5
50 - $25
20 - $100

this game can get quite wild sometimes and have yet to run out of chips

Definitely plenty of bank for the 25/50c but if you get any kind of a crazy $1/2 game, or play PLO games at all it will run out of chips easily. For a $1/2 game I would want 400 $5’s and a second barrel of $100’s to cover big nights.

$5330 bank seems good depending on how splashy the 1/2 gets. But if it’s the same group that also plays .25/.25, like mine, everyone plays super tight when we play the higher stakes and this should be fine. If not and it’s a splashier group then maybe another barrel or two of hundos.

i'd go one less rack of $1s and one more of $5s, personally. Possibly switch one barrel of $20s for another barrel of $100s too.

I actually have extras just wondering if I could get by without having to buy a bunch of extra labels.

in all I have

120- .25
400 - $1
300 - $5
240 - $25
40 - $100

but thinking of doing a relabel

I would at least keep that extra barrel of hundos for an additional $2k of bank.

Do you play both .25/.25 and 1/2 as frequently as each other?

Works just fine for a .25/.50 game and I agree with the majority on the 1/2 aspect. I'd look to add another rack, perhaps two, of $5s if you're looking to play a lot of 1/2.

The $5 is the workhorse chip in 1/2.

no 1/2 just want to be prepared if we ever move up from 25/50

I’ve found if you have just enough smaller denominations to make change you should be good. Our group is pretty good about not making change out of the pot but rather from other stacks if needed.

12 or 16 in 25¢ and the rest in $1’s. Then handle rebuys with the $5s and $25s
