Windwalker on Hustler Casino Live?!?!?!?!?!? (2 Viewers)

Personnel Opinion

It just a remake of High Stake Poker with lesser known name with all the same flaws like no useful stats, so many basic information are missing

Also plus a rotation of the MC as well

So Same formula - Just replace the crew and player and rename it differently but with no improvement

At least from the viewer's perspective, HSP was designed to look like an upscale and more relaxed setting.
JRB was very comfortable ordering bottles of wine and loosening up his play. The whole vibe is like a planned social gathering to play cards.
The set is furnished, food/snacks available, etc...

NGNF is set up like a cheesy game show with loud announcers that sound like MC's from Wipeout.
Curious what Krish's take on the game is (if he's allowed to comment).

I unfortunately had work come up last minute on the 27th and 28th in NYC and couldn’t make the game. They added Matt Su instead of me, I think.

The joke is that it's impossible to be long-run profitable playing baccarat so he must be using his "I'm a bacc pro" schtick as cover for something.

Fair enough. I did, but all they said was "gosh, he seems legit" without saying anything about how he could possibly be making money playing baccarat.

There are definitely people who win large sums of money from playing casino games over what seems like a very improbable length of time. But don't bet on them winning next year too. They all go broke eventually. It's like winning a huge field poker tournament. Stick 5,000 players into a room and someone is going to win 50 flips.

I saw Micky at the WSOP this year. He successfully got a server to give him a bottle of water while he was walking around. They were discussing the matter for about a minute so it was entertaining to watch. His success made me admire him.

I’m confused. Don’t all servers give our a bottle of water? They’re free in casinos.

They would only give them to seated players, not walkers. Of course they didn’t come around often so Micky hopped up when he saw one and had to negotiate the whole “seated players only” thing. The discussion was more heated than you’d think and I was laying odds he’d get skunked, but he didn’t.

Oh no, more of that Eric Persson guy. One of the most cringe worthy players since Jamie Gold imo. Please don’t try to fix the Hustler live show with ”colorful” players, it ain’t broken

I actually liked watching him on HSP, talking to Dwan, after the epic heads up match and trash talk with Helmuth.

Now, after seeing more of his game, it looks like he can also punt with the best and tilts pretty quickly.

On NGNF, his $800k king high call looked more like a coin flip than a soul read.

I guess you either love him or hate him. To me he’s just loud and obnoxious, and that angle vs Garrett on HSP put him on my permanent shit list. I bet he made a lot of his money from people just paying him to please stfu

He entertains me and he is Mostly annoying to pros or people like Helmuth, whereas Helmuth berates recreational players.

The move against Garrett was next level…I was more impressed than offended. Against a recreational player I would feel differently but garrets a big boy.

Well, either way it’s impossible to stay indifferent to him. Hellmuth is a train wreck, I don’t even rate him.

Strongly disagree about the angle. Yes Garrett is a big boy and probably didn’t care too much, but a move like that isn’t part of the game imo. It just makes him a douche.

headphone-wearing, backpack carrying shit-regs who just sit motionless for 30 seconds EVERY decision that ruined televised poker

Epiphany just now. Why do those tryhards put so much stock into not giving off verbal / timing tells when their whole approach to squeezing out EV has been ranges and GTO? If their strategy is literally unbeatable, then you should be able to let your guard down and be not a miserable asshat when you're playing.
