The gist of this is that DI means how often you get a shoe worth betting on, and EV is your percent edge when it happens on average. He puts a 6 deck blackjack game at a DI of 5.5, and the edge afaik tends to be around 1% though it requires specific payouts and for the max bet to be at a certain ratio relative to the min. This guy is saying that baccarat has specific side bets that are (although on average unprofitable), become profitable at a higher frequency than favorable blackjack shoes and when they do the EV is higher for them.
I've never played baccarat so i don't know if these side bets are universal but it seems like natural 9 and 8 pays 9to1 are the ones you really want to look out for, and you just pound them when the count is favorable. I'll definitely be looking more into this and will report back if i find anything worthwhile, thanks for the link.
