Windwalker on Hustler Casino Live?!?!?!?!?!? (20 Viewers)

That’s funny
We get stronger than that pretty much monthly here
After 20 years in Japan and Guam that’s nothing at all to me

Sure, it wasn’t a big quake. I just found it funny that Garrett had to peacock like he was all tough for the cameras. I don’t blame Nick etc. for wanting to call up his family and stepping off the table because you don’t know if it was worse elsewhere.

Earthquake at 6:11:00 (sorry, don’t know how to link to a specific time).

Lol Nick gets up to check that his family don't have an upset tummy from the slight shaking they would have experienced.

One of my last foreign adventures was 2 weeks in and around Dublin . Loved the people , the culture , the countryside . Hope for a return visit soon . Enjoy yourself !!!
While on our last trip to Dublin - we were craving
for some great American burgers and fries …
Then we found Captain America’s on Grafton
Street . Also had onion rings , nachos and many
other yummy food items . Drinks were good too .
And I believe they played rock ‘n roll music in
the background . One of my all-time favorite
hangouts !!!

Funnily enough, I was in Anaheim during this quake while on my trip to CA this past weekend. I visited the Bike Thursday and Friday nights and had just sat down to dinner at a restaurant in Disneyland when this hit. It was my first earthquake experience and was, FORTUNATELY, pretty anticlimactic.

He's gonna have to start another punt tote board.

I saw that he and Mariano lost like $50k between them and did an AMA. I didn't realize it was a $5/$5 game at the Hustler.
I’d really like to throw stones at that achievement and declare rampage’s incompetence, but as someone who has lost 1,000 BB in a .25/.50 game, I’m going to remain quiet.

Yea but got to appreciate that they can talk about their big losses like that. I like how they are honest about wins and losses. His massive all ins bluffs are polarizing lol

I actually like the way he played that hand. I think each action is justifiable and possibly GTO approved.

I don't believe reraising a guy you classify as a "solid pro" who raised UTG+2 when you are deep and OOP is "gto"

And calling A5 s00ted a "very good hand" when you are deep, OOP and in a bloated pot against a "solid pro" seems especially stupid

Well...he won the hand so...

;)

I mean I would love to have a bankroll like rampages, guy obviously wins more than he loses

I hate derailing this thread further, but he won an online WSOP bracelet event for 165K, which allowed him to play a lot more fearless/loose than he could afford otherwise.

I found this in a reddit thread where people are discussing his skill level.

I've been playing with him for over a year now in the 2/5 and 5/T streets. When he started, he was absolutely terrible. He's improved quite a bit. He's definitely at or above the skill range of a solid reg. His success hinges more so on game selection than anything, and I think he game selects VERY well. You don't have to be a world class player to be profitable in the game of poker. You just have to be better than most others at the table you're sitting at.

I've always viewed him as VERY exploitable, particularly with how loose and splashy he gets after some time at the table. He's going to beat a lot of the 2/5 player pool just because he is competent, but I think when he started playing in the bigger games with me and a lot of other solid players, he lost a LOT and as such, we have not been playing a ton with him. My assumption is that he learned that game selection lesson and stopped playing the more difficult games in town.

To summarize, he is a profitable player, contrary to what people seem to think. His game selection is why he is profitable, but his play skill is coming up as well. I would honestly suggest that in a year, he'll probably be able to profitably play 5/T games locally without getting crushed like he did after he won his bracelet.

Do you think some of these guys (like Gal) are staked by the house (playing with house money)?

I watch some of these semi pro’s play and just scratch my head sometimes. One thought was they are playing with house money to drive more action/entertainment…
