The Turtle Creek Casino Poker Room is closing down at the end of March with a pending 300k bad beat payout. Sounds like they have a great plan to distribute the bad beat so if you live near the casino I'd reccomend paying them a visit in March. I'd also look into getting your hands on their used tournament chips. If someone here has a connection use your network and try to get those chips.

What kind of tourney chips do they have? Anyone know?

Pretty sure all Michigan chips are destroyed after the closing of a casino.

No images, but the Chip Guide has a description:

I saw that but wasn't sure what the plain mold was. Ceramic maybe? Plastic?

Almost sound like Gemaco lammer mold, LOL.

Given that their cash rack went to ceramics, it's possible. Maybe a no mold holdover from their ASM purchase?

This is unfortunate. Just not enough poker players in that area apparently. Nice casino too.

Traverse City isn't exactly a gambling destination. I've been there on a few occasions at various times of the year and the casino is rarely busy... in fact one time several years ago there was a tournament they were hosting where Jennifer Harmon and her husband were headlining and there were still only like 2 cash tables going.

Interesting they're not selling their poker gear... although the chips are nothing to get excited about.
