Turns out I signed up for MLB Network, but needed MLB.TV ($65 vs $150)
Problem solved. Still a simple sign up at MLBTV.com. No requirement to sign up through ESPN, though you can if you want to.
They did get an extra $50 from me for the 'Mariners add-on'; so no blackouts

I'm not a huge baseball fan. When at home, prefer watching football (NFL) or even NBA.
However, I'd still prefer going to a baseball game over a football game. Something about the vibe at the game. Plus it's much easier to follow vs. football. If you don't get the 'right' seats at a football game, you can't always tell what's going on. End up watching half the game on the big screen.
If I go to a baseball game, I absolutely have to get a hot dog and a beer. Maybe some peanuts. Vs a football game is just different.

Personally, I think it’s because it’s the hardest sport there is. Or at least one of the hardest. You have the best people in the world, and they can only hit the ball on average 260 times out of 1000.

Not meant to cheapen the victory but more of FYI, the Italy team is also mostly MLB and quite a few are American players with Italian ancestry. Israel roster is similarly mostly American. Really enjoying the classic this year though! Beautiful sport and the more it grows, the better!

I really did not know. Baseball is not broadcasted often here in Europe and is still quite an obscure game.
Always loved to play it with friends but never really followed it on TV tbh. Just like Tennis.
We are relying on Italy to win the game for us to advance. If Mexico wins, then it all comes down to runs allowed divided by defensive outs between all 3 teams since we will all be 3-1.The irony of the USA team now needing to rely on Mexico to advance is the icing on the cake

Mexico has two active rangers and also former ranger (and froggy lookalike) rowdy tellez. And the Mexico USA game was great.

If Italy wins, the USA advances as the second seed. Italy 4-0, USA 3-1, Mexico 2-2
If Mexico wins, Its a three way tie at 3-1. if so, the USA needs Mexico to score at least six runs for the USA to advance as the second seed from pool B. If Mexico wins and BOTH teams score at least six runs for the USA to get first seed. The USA goes home in a low scoring game.

So the USA team's fate is literally in Mexico or Italys hands lol. A 4-x Mexico win sends the USA team packing.
