They still drag what could be a 60-minute event into a three hour snooze fest. But I agree, the format was better.

I think the players moved along pretty fast. I dont think they should be given limited amount of swings AND put a time limit on it. I was actually surprised how early it ended. I remember those ESPN Chris Berman back back back back back ones that went until midnight.

It's not the players. It's the bullshit (and commercials) between hitters. Must've been painful in person. I went to the HRD when the ASG was in Detroit in 2005. Pretty boring other than Abreu's at bat in the first round.

We went to the Home Run Derby. It was a great time. Lots of fun
