#*@% L.A. & the current Extra Innings rules.

But at least the seats were nice!

Fulton County Stadium became the parking lot for Turner Field. They left the section of fence that Aaron hit #715 over in the parking lot. Fuck the Braves but they do things right. LFGM

I just heard that. I think that light at the end was where 715 landed; which isn’t a home run in this ballpark, but still really cool

Test match cricket enters the chat....

5 days of play.. can still end a nil result.

What are your thoughts on the All Star game home run derby finish? I think everyone remembers Bud Selig shrugging his shoulders at the 2002 game where it was tied and each team was depleted of players so it ended in a tie.

But do you think this was an appropriate way to determine a winner or should they have just continued with a runner placed on 2nd like during regulation play. There's no denying it turned out to be a huge success but was it legit or laughable?

I'd rather see them play extra innings with the bases loaded and that's coming from someone that hates the current regular season extra innings format with the runner on 2nd.

I enjoyed the swing off. It's the ASG, it should be a fun exhibition. Feels like a good middle ground between having ties, which no one wants, or playing extra innings, which feels pointless for a game that doesn't matter to the standings.

I also enjoyed the swingoff. The biggest problem is the manager play the game like its a 9 inning only game and use up the pitchers per inning. The swingoff with saves the arms and brings the best part of baseball (IMO), the homerun, into to play at the end of an exhibition game.

And isn't preserving the arms the biggest concerns of the managers of the All Star game? It takes them off the hook of burning someone out

It was very popular among the players and fans. Viewership skyrocketed at the highest level since 2017.

I'm fine because it's an "exhibition" game and it should promote the sport. I loved the home team unis over the cash grab MLB AL/NL Jerseys. All the changes to the game are in with making it more fan friendly and universally more well liked. I cant wait for the challenge system which will undoubtedly be implemented next year.

LOVED the pitch challenge system. They should've incorporated it a long time ago.
