The thing with cash games is there is a game and a meta game. The game is being competent at poker. The meta game is being able to play in the game. If you can’t get a seat, you don’t get to play the game.

Assholes and nits might not get a seat. In the best games they definitley won’t.

Gotta have both skills to optimize results, and only a few people have been good at both, Doyle being an excellent example.

That was my thought. I guess we need to decide if GOAT means the guy who won the most cash playing poker or if it means something else. But yeah, it wouldn’t surprise me if the answer is a guy I never heard of.
