You have to put $20's in play right away ....... who wouldn't want a Dunes oversized $20 in their stack (y)
Yes, I tend to get mine in much earlier than necessary, usually by request on rebuys. If none are requested, I'll usually just hand out fives until I've gotten a couple of racks out, unless somebody buys for more than $100. Of course, this is a .25/.50 game, so maybe irrelevant.

At times? How about the entire time? I loved it. I picked up a big hand 15 minutes in and new that if it held up I was getting paid..........and I did :)

Your players are maniacs, but a shit ton of fun to play with.
LOL!!!! Yes....shit is crazy. The key is hitting big early and hanging on for the ride. :ROFLMAO: You did that well!!

It was AWESOME having you here!! Everybody really enjoyed playing with you!(y)

400 minimum but prefer 500 or 600 $5’s on the table before I put $25 in play.

It is nice not having to have the Big Stack keep supplying small chips for rebuys. I want the Big Stack to look nd feel like a Big Stack!!!

I guess I'm in the minority but for a $100 buy in full table most of my sets have 200-250 5's. I usually start in on $25 chips after the 2nd rebuy and it seems to work out fine. IMO a stack of 4 25's is just as intimidating as 20 5's. I have never felt low on 5's.

We use the exact same format. Usually the first 2-3 rebuys are fives. After that, I move to the rebuy chips!

Personally I think 2-3 barrels per player is the "butter zone" for the workhorse chip unless you are trying to go casino deep stacks. So for an 8 handed game, that's 320-480. I voted 400.

Now if I had to vote on my current set, the answer would be 200. :)

I am in the 400 camp for a $1/$2 game. 200 seems really short if you are not using fracs for blinds.

In fairness my current set is geared for .25-.50 and maybe .50-1 in a pinch. I'm not sure I am willing to risk hosting any higher than that.

Never I go with 25s. However my 1/2 game is usually full and most buy in for 200 so I give out stacks of 140 in red 10 in white and 50 in green. I don't usually go past 300 red and 100 white so all green after initial buyins and after a rack of green maybe a few sprinkled black chips.

Where did you get those plaques?
They are from a PCF group buy a few years ago. They are Matsui plaques, and are FAR superior in quality to every other plaque I have owned. They were pricey, $19 apiece, but well worth it. You're still going to pay $18 to $20 when/if they come up for sale. They also had $100 plaques made.

Follow up question: when to put $100s into play?
When I have a couple big stacks at a table. I'll give the $100 buy ins a $100 chip or plaque and tell them to get change from the big stacks. We usually have $3k to $4k worth of chips in play by then. Depending on who shows up, that could be a couple hours in.
