**Please note, this thread is rules/ruling thread, not a strategy thread**

So playing @Kyle ‘s monthly tournament, last night. On the bubble, as Kyle is paying 4 spots, and there are 5 players left.

Blinds 200/400, UTG limps. Hijack and button folds. SB raises to 900. BB and UTG, call. 3 players to the flop.
Flop comes; :8s::4c::3c:.
SB pushes all in, for 1400. BB calls and also has exactly 1400. UTG also calls. UTG is chip leader, and has both players well covered. All three players table their hands;

SB:ac::kh:
BB:8c::ks:
UTG:ah::8d:

UTG has the hand hold up, and knocks out both players. SB and BB had the exact number of chips, when knocked out. However, BB would have had the winning hand between the two, if UTG was not in the hand. Kyle keeps stats for his seasons, and awards chips for the finale, based on points.
Also, 4th place pays, while 5th does not.
How do you rule? Who gets 4th? How is the prize money for 4th determined?

I snapped a pic, while the discussion was going on, and some players were looking through various rules on their phones.

4th place cash is divided between the two players. HU result between the two players is irrelevant.

For points, add 4th and 5th place points and they each get half of that number.
