When putting together a set, or buying a set outright, do you use Fracs or no? (1 Viewer)

Do you all use Fracs in your home games? When buying a CASH set, or putting together a mix CASH set how often do you use fracs?

Typically not for tournament sets. But all of my cash sets have fracs.

It depends on Cash vs Tourneys for me, but also, if I like the chips, and I usually do, I want ALL that I can get...

I don't get specific fracs or relabel fracs for each set.

I use flexible replacement like Starburst or roulette chip for my Fracs for all the set

No other choice for me since the biggest stakes I've ever played in a German homegame was 10ct/20ct which was deemed insane at the time.

I have 3 sets that have fracs already so I don’t worry about them with any sets going forward. I don’t use fracs in my regular game.

I'm a low roller and I don't want a significant amount of my friends money. That being said my set is all $ denominations to stick with the custom casino theme, but they represent cents to us.

Yes and it's kind of putting me off splurging on my first set of Paulson Jacks.

I may be wrong but I haven't seen any fracs in the Jacks sets.

I'm toying with this idea too. My games are .50/$1 and honestly a combo of 25s and 1s work fine but it would be cool...

I’ll run a 50¢/$1 with a mandatory $2 straddle before I run a 1/2 just so I can use fracs

As always, it depends on the crowd. But in a .25/.50 game, UTG is looking at a pot of 75 cents, as opposed to a pot of two dollars in a $1/1. So all things being equal, they probably shouldn't play the same.
As for me, yes fracs. Every time. If I can't get real fracs, I'll use starbursts. But if I wanted to play without fracs, I'll go play big boy stakes at the casino.

It's because most casinos don't offer stakes where fracs are in play. No money in it for them.

The Jack Detroit mint uncirculated fracs were a freak of nature.
