I have submitted many new entries to the ChipGuide, but the status shows "Open" for the longest time. Only once I had a submission accepted, and that was within a few days. How long does this typically take? weeks? months?

Nearly 20 years ago I submitted scans of chips, formatted exactly as requested, that aren't in the Guide that also might be the only extant examples of some chips that never were ingested into the Guide.

If they don't use "plug and place" scans, well, take from that what you will.

(TLDR, if my time and effort isn't worth your time...).

You’re asking in the wrong place. Contact the chipguide directly or via
the CCA / CCGTCC to get an answer from the horses mouth. As you can see there’s not a lot of support here.

I know we somewhat have a database but PCF needs a database similar chipguide w a state map etc
Clickable html image maps is an outdated method and not mobile friendly. We use filters instead.

Nevada ? This doesn’t make sense to me. I’m sure I’m not following the right click path, but this is how I would.

Also I would start w state not manufacture.

What does the Nevada filter option not make sense?

Once you click Nevada the next subtitles are colors and we don’t have any Vegas/Nevada casino chips on the entire database?

Last feedback…and again feel free to ignore

Click Path

Chips DB
Search Casino Chips
Landing page headline says “Casino sets” (not what I clicked).
Then sorts them by color. I would argue this page could be something different. Maybe states to pick rather than colors.

There is only one Nevada casino in the DB.

Depending on the state or type of chip, it can take days, weeks or months. The Chip Guide volunteers are usually assigned by geography. I always find that the Nevada chips take the longest as they usually have the most submissions.

Can one become a volunteer somehow?

Hi. Send an email to [email protected]. That should go directly to Charles Kaplan. Let him know which chips you submitted and he can see which admins (there are many) were assigned to your submissions. We definitely appreciate everyone's contributions, so thank you for sending them in.
