Tourney What would starting stacks be if I used this set of chips? (1 Viewer)

What would be ideal starting stacks for a tournament with the following chip set?
Is it enough for 8 players? 16 players with rebuys?

25 × 100
100 × 100
500 × 60
1000 × 100
5000 × 100
25000 × 25

Enough for 8-10. Starting with 25’s 12/12/5/6. Starting with 100’s, 10/4/7/6.

Did a little searching and came up with starting stacks of 20k and would max out at 8 players.
T25 x 12
T100 x12
T500 x3
T1000 x7
T5000 x2

12 players would work with
T25 x8
T100 x8
T500 x4
T1000 x7
T5000 x2

Seems a bunch of the T5k chips in the set wouldn't be used and T25k rarely if at all.

Starting stacks of 50k seems to use all of the chips with 12 players max yet.
T25 x8
T100 x8
T500 x4

T5000 x 3
T25000 x1

Is it worth getting these chips if those are basically my options unless I can get more to add to it?

You don’t need 25s and 25ks in the same set. Using denoms that are half the starting stack isn’t a very good idea as you might get into situations where it’s not possible to break it

You could do a 40-50k starting with 5ks and use the 25ks for re-buys or colour ups, but I wouldn't use a 25 chip and start with 100s. Depends how deep you want to start the tournament and how long you want to run it for.

This is the way. 8-12 players and use 5k's if you're running rebuys

The 25k can be used in conjunction with 5k for rebuy starting stacks if you're running a T100 tournament instead of T25

I think it's a good versatile breakdown

Maybe a little overkill with the higher denom chips but there are still ways to get them in play through rebuys and chip ups

That was the breakdown of the set I was looking at. Not Ideal and I decided to keep looking for a better suited set to fit my needs.

Yeah it depends on what these chips are and if additional ones (particularly 25 and 100) are available. If you add 60 * T25, 60 * T100, 20 * T500, and 40 * T1000 to this set, it's actually a perfect 20 player at 8/8/4/7 setup. But as is, you really are limited to 12 players at best and have a surplus of the highest denominations as you have already mentioned.
