What temperature do you keep your house, in the winter?

You guys are nuts! 76 for me, all the time. I even bought a mini split heater for the garage. It's set to 81 in there right now.

67-68 year round. Several people with no skin in the game have advised me to maintain a steady temperature 24/7 unless I'll be gone for more than 2-3 days. Supposedly that's easier on the HVAC. More important, I'm comfortable and happy, and so are my chippies.

My electric bill is currently $1400/year for an all-electric townhouse (1700 sq ft plus basement): Heat pump, auxiliary furnace, all appliances, lights, etc. Much cheaper than the Chicago area. About 42% of Iowa's electric net generation comes from wind.
