There are so many options now. What size and style do you like best?

50mm plastic - Taj Mahal
60mm ceramic - Dunes
65mm transparent - Dunes
80mm transparent - Taj Mahal

Funny thing …. We just had a spirited debate on this issue at the last poker game. Players seem to like the 80 mm buttons the best (I am in this camp). Dealers, however, much prefer the 60 mm buttons - they say the 80 mm buttons are to big and hard to deal around. Such a big button is cumbersome and unnecessary they say. That is why I have all options readily available …..

60mm but I also like 80mm. 50mm is too small imho

Largest size: My game has a dealer, with two decks in use. The button gets the previous deck on top of the button, and replaces it there after shuffling (before the dealer gives it another couple shuffles/cuts). A larger diameter means less chance of the deck tipping off.

80mm. Nothing wrong with 60mm, but being shorter and having a smaller diameter can make it harder to quickly spot. Those reversible puck ones with the rubber sides are honestly probably the best (except for dealing around/over), but I have too many ones with designs I want on the table.

I tend to be in the bigger is better camp for buttons, but really what's important is that it stands out from the chips and the felt. So it doesn't necessarily have to be gigantic if the design is distinct enough... but if it's a good design, wouldn't you want to be able to see it from across the table anyways?
