Does your poker game have a name? How did you or the host come up with it? My game has been called the Poker Palooza because of the alliteration, but am considering changing it to something different this year.

Basement Poker Tour - guess where we play.

The Manhole League. Women are allowed though but we're currently 100% male. I don't know where the name came from. I joined in season 15.

I occasionally play in Panda Tournament, Hitmen Tournament, and Seven-Deuce Cardroom (cash). Plus miscellaneous opportunities that are un-named, often by the same hosts.

Sometimes my game is called poker, sometimes it’s called cards.
I lack the creativity gene - it was a problem when I was working on customs. (They never got made.)

Thanks for playing poker club. An homage to the old ultimate bet poker site that used to say "Thanks for Playing" after you got knocked out of a tournament and one of our players that did that when we played in person.

It's not my home game but I've been a member for 3 years now of "The Manhole League" which is in it's 18th season.

Been going strong for over 25 years and nope i never once considered naming my game. Should I??

We are Flaming Dragon! (after the Tropic Thunder scene). Just kidding.

The Drunken Dragon.

DnD group that also plays board games and poker. Also, lots of beer (sometimes hard liquor) involved. Usually play medieval fantasy tavern music in the background. About 15 members, and hopefully growing. Would love to start a poker league for us, but board games will always be the bread and butter.

Kueen$Bees Hold Em Hive - we are a league.

Back story...
My first name is Kay, so I'm the Hive Kueen
$ - this symbol has relationship significance for my wife and I stemming from our days working on a VAX/VMS software project
Bees - my wife's name is Beth and at work they called her Bee - her PokerStars handle is LittleBitBee

Hold Em - that's what we play exclusively

Hive - alliterates with Hold and fits with Kueen$Bees.

our league logo is attached. The chip hive in the logo is a rendering of one I actually made for one of our championship games.

League colors are ... no surprise, black and yellow.

Next stop, custom chips with league name "embossed" on Tina no mold chips. A winter project.

I have basically branded the league to help recruit players. Soon, we will be filling two tables of 10 consistently with a waiting list each week.

We have a website, a listing on PokerDIY, Two+Two home games, the local newspaper's online calendar, and a FB page which I don't yet use to the fullest (another winter project?).

Needless to say, for safety/security reasons, we have a pretty strict policy for bringing new players into the league. New players are typically completely unknown to any league members. But, I have usually been able to find out where they live and what they do for a living before I have a first phone call with them after they email me their full name and phone number. Thank goodness for FB and Linked-In and Google!

A week ago an interested new recruit indicated he found out about us via ChatGPT. We've made the Big Time!!!

Most of our players are die hard Buffalo Bills fans

Can you tell I'm retired!? :) Running and promoting the League is one of my main hobbies - it makes me happy!

Our game started in a friend’s basement and was called Basement Series Open. It then moved to the attic and was thusly the Attic Series Open
