The tables
For example,

200x Resorts World $1
200x Resorts World $5
80x Diamond Jacks $25
20x Diamond Jacks $100

(Or Horseshoe, Aria, Bellagio, or other harvestable Vegas $1s and $5s)

It's fine if it's what you like. Lots of mixed sets here.

I would be more bothered by combining house molds and RHCs.

Even when we try to say there are rules for mixed sets (which is kind of dumb - who are you trying to please?) I’ve never heard anybody giving a thought to this one. Might be the biggest who cares of all time.

I don’t think people about live mixing with non-live chips.

Lot of people relabeled live chips as fracs etc.

More importantly is the example u using used different Mold ; house Mold mixed with RHC

like @LeLe said, you kinda have to mix for fracs and for higher denoms too. Pretty sure most people with a Paris set don’t have racks of the $20 baccarats too.

The lack of diversity in casinos bothers me more than the mixed molds. No big deal either way (though I’m the lone dissenter as of now)

Also there is different degrees of wear and tear from Live chips as well, the difference is especially noticeable when you placed them next to mint secondary chip

You might need to harvest a lot of live chip to cherry-pick the excellent condition one to match

For example,

200x Resorts World $1
200x Resorts World $5
80x Diamond Jacks $25
20x Diamond Jacks $100

(Or Horseshoe, Aria, Bellagio, or other harvestable Vegas $1s and $5s)

Need an "absolutely doesn't matter" option in the poll.

Is the concern with mixed molds purely aesthetic?
Pretty much all the concerns here are purely aesthetic. As long as you can stack your chips in piles of 20 without them spilling everywhere and they don't snap in half every two games they're all about equally functional.

So odd that the mold has a larger aesthetic impact than different inlays.

What about Flamingo LV?
all clay or all plastic. I do have sets, such as mesquite Star, which used plastic for the quarter and clay for the rest, but I have no intention of using the quarters with clay, need to create a clay frac.

In the process of converting my set into all Clay; currently mixing THC and RHC and plastic....

:confused
you do what you gotta do to get by, till something better comes along. My group used to have one set, used for both cash and tourney. Then I came along....

I know what you mean, I used to be very happy with these ABS chip

Fantastic Color but I always dislike the “flanking” excess material on the side

Well Hustler mixed their GPI clays and their new plastic $25k chips for a while when they were first introduced, and I might be in the minority here but I thought it was totally fine (but not as good as if they’d gone with another GPI clay). Golden Nugget LV even mixes clay and plastic within their $1 & $5 denominations, and it bugs the crap out of me! Mixing clay and plastic is not something I personally would do, but I think it’s forgivable if the colors and patterns at least go together. (Golden Nugget below)

Mixing the molds (THC/RHC/house mold) is 100% acceptable imo if the colors and patterns are cohesive:

And mixing live and non-live chips is a complete non-issue in my eyes. My friend’s set is a Badugi of chip molds (different one on each denom, and even mixes in the live Caesars Palace) and it’s definitely the best set I’ve ever played with.

But at the end of the day, all chips are good chips if you have a game going!

WSOP mixed clay and plastic in the early 2000’s right?
